Agreement bundles best-of-breed Rails solutions to deliver monitored hosting.

FiveRuns, a pioneer of monitoring products for Ruby on Rails and other popular open source and commercial systems, and Brightbox, the UK's first dedicated Ruby on Rails hosting company, today announced a strategic partnership to provide an exclusive, bundled offering including FiveRuns RM-Manage Rails application monitoring software with Brightbox's virtualized server solutions for Rails applications.

Under the terms of the agreement, customers of Brightbox's 512 and above offerings will automatically be activated with a FiveRuns account, and be able to log-in, download and install the RM-Manage client on their Brightbox servers. FiveRuns will provide full support for all of the new accounts directly. Combining Brightbox's simple, powerful and scalable hosted Rails environments with FiveRuns industry-first monitoring tools will enable customers to ensure their Rails applications operate at peak performance in a fully monitored server environment.

"We are very excited about this new partnership and the value it adds to our Ruby on Rails hosting solutions," said Brightbox Director Jeremy Jarvis. "We first used the FiveRuns management tool a few months ago and were incredibly impressed with the level of detail, functionality and ease of use. This partnership really gives Brightbox a competitive advantage."

Brightbox provides Ruby on Rails hosting right out of the box - with simple gem-based deployment, full root access control, and better scalability than traditional dedicated server solutions. At the same time, FiveRuns delivers simple-to-use, intuitive management tools that allow IT managers to monitor the performance of Rails applications and their underlying infrastructure in production environments. The partnership combines two best-of-breed Rails solution providers who are proven leaders in the respective fields, in addition to providing each with greater geographic reach.

"Ruby on Rails developers require world-class hosting and management resources 100% dedicated to the framework, and Brightbox delivers," said Dean Cruse, vice president of sales and marketing for FiveRuns. "This partnership enables a combined and singular resource in the UK for Rails applications: simple and powerful Rails hosting expertise combined with the industry's best Rails application monitoring offering."
