Nashville, Tenn. (PRWEB) December 20, 2007
Experts from Microsoft Corporation, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Project Performance Corporation, the LDS Church and other leading consultants and implementers will be among the speakers at the SharePoint Information Worker Conference 2008, the world's only business-oriented conference on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server™ (MOSS 2007) and Windows SharePoint Services™ (WSS).
The conference will be held February 4-6, 2008, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. Several notable sponsors, including K2, the industry leader in extending the workflow and BPM capabilities of SharePoint, will participate.
"The three-day SharePoint Information Worker Conference 2008 is designed specifically for business, web and application professionals who need to stay on the leading edge of MOSS 2007 and WSS business applications," said Jeff Cate, founder and president of SharePoint Solutions.
"If you're not part of your company's IT department but you use SharePoint and the Microsoft Office System to solve business problems, this conference will provide you with the knowledge you need to work with maximum efficiency. And, if you are in IT, but need a functional and business usage understanding about SharePoint, this conference is an excellent choice as well," he added.
Cate noted that a number of the 2008 sessions address new SharePoint topics and case studies other than ones covered at the last SharePoint Information Workers Conference, which was held January 31-February 2, 2007, in Orlando. That event drew several hundred attendees from around the world.
For those completely new to SharePoint, a half-day pre-conference "101" workshop will be held Feb. 3 to explain what SharePoint 2007 (MOSS 2007 and WSS 3.0) is all about.
SharePoint Information Worker 2008 conferees may choose from more than 30 sessions spanning three tracks and visit exhibits from industry-leading providers of value-added SharePoint add-ons and services.
Cate, an author and frequent lecturer on Microsoft products and technologies, will be the keynote speaker. He has extensive experience conducting seminars and training classes in addition to consulting engagements.
Cost is $1,695. Rooms are available for $169/night at the conference hotel, but are not included in the conference fee. Cost for the SharePoint 2007 Fundamentals Pre-Conference Workshop, which is limited to 50 attendees, is $395.
