Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) December 21, 2007 -- OhioBiz (http://www.ohiobiz.com), Ohio's leading local business search directory offers expanded local Ohio coverage and additional features. OhioBiz allows small to medium businesses to inexpensively reach a highly-targeted Ohio audience.
Ohio's leading business search engine/directory website, OhioBiz, has re-launched it Ohio-focused business directory website. The seven-year old Ohio "home-grown" search directory provides visitors simple, quick, and efficient access to over 400,000 Ohio-based business, community, organization, government, and education-related entities.
According to Mark J. Geyman, owner of OhioBiz.com, "One of the largest changes we've made has been going from a directory that just lists entities with websites to also include businesses without a web presence. This is a great opportunity, particularly, for smaller businesses and organizations that seek greater visibility, whether or not they have a website, to receive targeted traffic throughout the region to their listing page. We want to promote the whole Ohio business community! Also, the site has been broken into 5 intra-state, regional Ohio business directories (Northeast, Northwest, Central, Southwest, and Southeast Ohio)," he said.
"We've added many new features besides the typical ratings and reviews you see on many of the other sites. There are several levels of listing memberships: Free, Pay, and "We Maintain." Both the Free and Paid levels allow members to update their own content after registering. The We Maintain" level is for businesses that don't have the time or expertise to maintain their listing. OhioBiz would maintain it for them."
New features include: Deep Links -- additional customized links from the listing page to inner pages of the entity's website; Coupon Creation/Special Offers program -- allows member to build coupons on-the-fly; customized location map; document, product, and image uploading; and Search Engine-friendly URLs for greater listing visibility in the major search engines. Geyman says that "many more features will be added in the near future."
The OhioBiz search directory offers website listings to any company or organization that has a physical presence in the state of Ohio. Listings are added continuously. Many Ohio business, government, library, education and media sites link to OhioBiz. Searches on the site can be performed by entity name, location (neighborhood, city, county), zip code, category, product, coupon, document and image.
Mr. Geyman, who has been a pioneer in developing web-based regional and local search directories, developed one of the country's and Ohio's first local web directory, SitesOnline Ohio, back in 1995.
