Start a Resolution is a one-of-a-kind concept that aims to help people commit to their New Year's resolutions. The site is completely free to all users and allows them to enter their resolutions and stay on track to meet them. Users are assigned a coach who will help monitor their progress. When the next user signs up, the previous user also becomes a coach and helps the next person achieve their goals. It's a give and take (pay it forward) concept where people help each other reach their objectives.
Users can "kick" one another to draw attention to the resolution and remind their fellow members of their goals. A kick is meant to represent a jolt to the user to remind them to stay on track. Users can also chat on the website with their coach, send email reminders, and check up on the member they are coaching.
"This is a really fun and entertaining application. When our Creative Director Andrew pitched the idea to our team, we knew we had a winner. We wanted to develop something that people would feel was useful, while making it fun and entertaining at the same time. We've never come across an idea like this before, so it just seemed right. We've been working on it for the past several months and are really excited for it's release to the public. We hope that it can help people stay on track to reach their New Year's goals by helping them stick to it. We really wanted to create something that would help people in a fun and interesting way. I think we achieved that," says Chuck Pearson, CEO of Rareview Interactive.
