Most call centers have a recording system , but many would like to add features or expand capacity, and some centers have multiple, incompatible recording systems. VirtualLogger LLC announces its Universal Web Upgrade plan, which allows call centers with limited, outdated or incompatible recording systems to upgrade and integrate their systems without buying new recording equipment. For less than 10% of the cost of a new system, users can have the latest technology in call center recording.

The vast majority of call centers have some way to record their calls, but many centers would like to add new features or expand capacity to their recorders. Some new VOIP phone systems include recording, but provide very limited functionality for access and using the data. And some centers have multiple, incompatible recording systems. Now there's a way for call centers with limited, outdated or incompatible recording systems to upgrade and integrate their systems without buying new recording equipment.

VirtualLogger LLC announces its Universal Web Upgrade plan, the only program designed to provide an integrated, web-based interface to almost any call center's telephone and screen recordings. The program lets both small centers and large enterprises add the latest recording and quality monitoring functions while saving thousands of dollars.

The Universal Web Upgrade is designed to help call centers avoid the "forklift upgrade" required by many existing call recording vendors. By using the VirtualLogger web interface, call centers can access their existing audio and screen recordings from anywhere, use integrated online evaluation forms, and even send coaching tips to their agents with the soon-to-be-released electronic coaching module. Call center outsourcers can use the new program to provide easy access to recordings for their clients and consultants can use the program to access recordings away from their client's offices.

Enterprise call centers with multiple recording platforms can also use the Universal Web Upgrade to integrate all their recording systems in a single, intuitive user interface that minimizes training requirements and makes it easy for agents, supervisors and managers to get the most from their recordings. Users who are interested in new technologies, such as screen capture, speech analytics and emotion detection can also use the upgrade program to add those services. Finally, call centers that need additional recording capacity but are on a vendor's legacy platform can add the capacity from any recording source they like, without replacing their existing hardware.

"We designed the Universal Web Upgrade to prove the power of the hosted model," said Jim Veilleux, President of VirtualLogger. "We've been telling clients for years that they could avoid a forklift upgrade by using us for their recording needs. Now we're helping them avoid a forklift upgrade, even if we're not their recording company."

The Universal Web Upgrade works with any call recorder that creates digital files and stores those files using standard Windows or Linux-based operating systems. Both audio and video files are supported and the system supports both traditional "TDM" and the newer VOIP phone systems. To implement, VirtualLogger installs a small application to capture the call data attributes (used for searching) for its database. The audio files may be moved to the VirtualLogger Central Command Center or can be left at the client location. Costs will vary, but will generally be less than 5%-10% of a new recording system.
