The vast majority of call centers have some way to record their calls, but many centers would like to add new features or expand capacity to their recorders. Some new VOIP phone systems include recording, but provide very limited functionality for access and using the data. And some centers have multiple, incompatible recording systems. The Universal Web Upgrade works with any call recorder that creates digital files and stores those files using standard Windows or Linux-based operating systems. Both audio and video files are supported and the system supports both traditional "TDM" and the newer VOIP phone systems. To implement, VirtualLogger installs a small application to capture the call data attributes (used for searching) for its database. The audio files may be moved to the VirtualLogger Central Command Center or can be left at the client location. Costs will vary, but will generally be less than 5%-10% of a new recording system.
