The John Roberts Company, an industry leader in color management, served as an Exclusive Gold Sponsor of the Minnesota chapter of the AIGA's recent Design Camp at the Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, Minnesota.
Over 300 designers, students, educators and business partners attended the three-day event that's sponsored by the Minnesota Graphic Designers Association. The camp is the largest regional design conference in the country and set the standard for other AIGA chapters.
"We're proud to have been an Exclusive Gold Sponsor for the Design Camp," said Michael Keene, President of The John Roberts Company. "It's easy to see why this is considered the event of the year for the design community."
John Roberts presented a workshop on "Achieving True Color," where Tony Hoholik, Vice President of Marketing and Sales, focused on how to establish a reliable color profile for your projects.
Among the issues discussed were how to minimize the differences in views between your computer screen, desktop inkjet proofs, printer proofs and final printed product and how to most effectively communicate accurate color among the design team, client and printer to increase efficiency. Also covered were how to use profiles in software such as Photoshop, InDesign and Quark.
Color management is a key component in John Roberts' commitment to helping customers achieve attractive and accurate printed products and can be applied to any part of the printing process.
