Cablevision Systems Corp. (http://www.cablevision.com) today is recognizing Animania HD as its HD Channel of the Day, as part of the ongoing "45 Days in HD, on iO TV" countdown. Available to Cablevision's iO TV customers on channel 723, Animania HD is the only channel dedicated to delivering an eye-popping cinematic viewing experience by airing animation in true HD. Animania HD showcases cutting-edge animation from around the globe and offers a variety of highly-entertaining original hi-def series, re-mastered cult classics and specials for viewers in three distinct programming blocks: "Little Big Blocks" (preschool), the "Big Wide Action Show" (6-12) and "Animayhem" (tweens and teens). Animania HD brings 2-D into the 21st century.
During the countdown, Cablevision is recognizing each of the 45 high-definition services iO customers receive at no additional cost, including all nine local professional sports teams in HD. Unlike its satellite and phone company competitors, Cablevision does not impose additional fees and charges on customers who want to "see" in HD.
"We are pleased to honor Animania HD as today's Channel of the Day in the expanded '45 Days in HD, on iO TV' countdown," said John Trierweiler, Cablevision's senior vice president of product management. "Animania HD presents classic cartoons and visually stunning, next-generation anime features that come to life in vivid high-definition for iO TV customers."

And even though his powers are not fully developed, it doesn't stop him from flying his SamSaucer into space to fend of dirty-rotten monsters! When trying to escape from the scientist's lab, the brothers jump into an electrical plug, forever transforming Rube into RoboRoach--a half-robot half-cockroach. Rube is voiced by Scott Thompson, best known for his time as a member of the comedy troupe Kids in the Hall. The series for tweens, follows Rube's crazy adventures as the superhero of the town of Vexberg.
- 1:30 p.m. - IGGY ARBUCKLE
Iggy Arbuckle is a fast paced animated, buddy-comedy series that doesn't just explore the wonders of the natural world, it burrows right down and rolls around in it like a piggy in the mud! When Iggy and Jiggers set out on an adventure, it doesn't take long for a simple nature-walk to explode into a full-scale avalanche of chaotic comedy!
- 8 p.m. - URBAN VERMIN
For a raccoon, garbage is power! This CGI animated comedy series (for 'tweens) tells the tale of two raccoon brothers, Abe and Ken. These raccoon brothers are caught in a twisted and hilarious war of sibling rivalry. And neither of them is prepared to lose. Watch as they lead their band of furry friends in a quest to become leader of "The Block" and mine garbage gold!
- 9:30 p.m. - LOLA & VIRGINIA
This witty animated series for adolescents features twelve year-old Lola, who lives in a run down neighborhood and takes care of her irksome brothers.
