"love_2_Flop" Wins $13k PCA Package; $25k More in Exclusive PokerListings.com Freerolls at PokerStars
Online player "love_2_flop" is the latest to take advantage of PokerListings.com and PokerStars.com's co-sponsored monthly freerolls, taking down a Dec. 15 event for a $13k package to the upcoming PokerStars.com Caribbean Adventure. The high-value monthly freerolls continue in January with another $25k on the table, including a $15k freeroll for the EPT German Open and four weekly $2,500 cash freerolls.
Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles (PRWEB) December 22, 2007 -- Online player "love_2_flop" is the latest big winner in the co-sponsored monthly freeroll series from PokerListings.com (http://www.pokerlistings.com/poker-stars) and PokerStars (http://www.pokerstars.com/sites/poker-listings/), taking down a Dec. 15 freeroll for a $13k package to the upcoming PokerStars.com Caribbean Adventure.
Exclusively for PokerListings players (signed up at PokerStars from a PL link) with 500 FPPs in the month of November, the freeroll saw just 252 runners playing off for the massive first prize, an all-expenses-paid winter escape to the PCA, set to go Jan. 5, 2008, on Paradise Island off the coast of Nassau, Bahamas.
When all was said and done, it was love_2_flop, a retired computer programmer from Tucson, Arizona, who outlasted them all, thanks to some strong play and the right amount of luck at the right time.
"Pretty lucky," he says. "Most of my all-ins held up."
A poker player for over 50 years, love_2_flop says he hardly played until the last couple of years, but now finds himself at PokerStars four or five times a week.
"I signed up for PokerStars through PokerListings.com to get the free tournaments sponsored there and I like it a lot. Good mix of tournament and cash games and there's always availability for cash games."
He also drops by PokerListings.com regularly to keep his game fresh.
"I like the monthly e-mail with playing tips," he says. "It's concise, and while I may be familiar with some of the topics, it's always helpful. I also like the poker news section; it's nice to get all my poker news in one place."
The huge payouts for PokerListings players continue into January, with another $25,000 in exclusive freerolls on the schedule at PokerStars, including four weekly $2,500 cash freerolls (every Sat.) and a $15k EPT German Open freeroll, scheduled for Jan. 20.
Just 100 FPPs at Stars in December qualify you for all four cash freerolls; 500 FPPs in December gets you into all cash freerolls plus the $15k EPT freeroll, where the winning package totals $12,000, including buy-in, travel and accommodation. An extra $3,000 in cash is also spread to a deep prize pool.
Also of note: Sign up at Poker Stars through a PokerListings link for a world-best bonus - an exclusive $50 flat bonus on top of the standard $50 match bonus. The first $25 is released at 100 FPPs and the second $25 is released at 500 FPPs.
