Living Truth Ministries Look to Save a Church and a Community by Asking Everyone, 'What If?'

The Living Truth Cristian Center in Daytona Beach is a church built by faith with dreams of changing the surrounding community and sparking an urban renewal. Now, as many businesses in the area have been forced to closed, the church is facing foreclosure. Now they have launched the "What if" campaign to not only restore the church but to initiate several programs to bring hope back to a hurting and suffering community.

Daytona Beach, FL (PRWEB) December 24, 2007 -- A 43 year old pastor whose faith in God lead him to sleep in a tent in 1999 sees his dream come true and God's promise fulfilled. Since then, The Living Truth Christian Center located at 511 Fremont Avenue in Daytona Beach, FL has stood as monument of faith. Focused on healing families, strengthening disenfranchised communities and empowering individuals to realize their full potential; Living Truth Christian Center has also made a commitment to "take back our children, one child at a time."

Pastor's Kennedy and LuCinda Jacobs vision for erecting this 15,000 square foot facility was not to build another building; however, to establish this site as a community resource center to meet the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of real people. The needed components identified were hope, effective programming (life skills training, job training, educational support services, meal programs, faith based programs) and access to financial resources and quality information for individuals to make better life decisions.

take back our children, one child at a time.
The Need! Though phase one of the promise has been realized, the Living Truth Christian Center is facing a serious milestone in the future of the ministry. Sustainable revenue streams to support the programs and administrative cost to effectively serve this community. Pastor's Kennedy and LuCinda Jacobs firmly believe that there are compassionate business leaders and individuals within the Daytona Beach community who shares their vision to empower people to improve their quality of life. The community's expectation is not a handout, but a helping hand. The Living Truth Christian Center seeks to raise 1.4 million dollars before January 1, 2008 to address the financial shortfall of the ministry.

The Campaign! Now, Pastors Kennedy and LuCinda Jacobs, a team with great optimism stand to see their dreams of helping to revitalize a community come to a halt if a helping hand does not materialize. This has inspired a campaign simply titled "What If? What If? -- is an awareness campaign designed to call individuals and business leader to action as well as spark dialog concerning the possibilities of realizing a renewed community when love is put into action. Through this innovative initiative Pastor's Kennedy and LuCinda Jacobs seeks to obtain philanthropic contributions, recruit community focus group committee members/volunteers and restore hope in a community that has been crippled by education disparities, crime, addictions and unemployment. What If we listen to the needs of a hurting and suffering community and respond in love? What if Daytona Beach conducted a model urban renewal project?

The "What If? Campaign" kicks off on December 24th 2007. The Program will begin at 5:30pm until 7:00pm at The Living Truth Christian Center, 511 Fremont Avenue Daytona Beach, FL 32114. For additional information on the "What If" campaign or for contribution information, contact the Living Truth Ministries at 386.252-7670 or visit us on the web at www.whatif-campaign.com.
