Executive Poker Tour Founder to Ring NYSE Opening Bell

Rick Rahim will ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange Monday, December 31.

(PRWEB) December 29, 2007 -- Executive Poker Tour Founder, Rick Rahim, will be in New York City Monday morning to ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange.

Rahim, who also serves as Chief of Financial Development for Project Lifesaver International, will join Project Lifesaver CEO Gene Saunders and Chief Barry Thacker for the opening bell ceremonies at the NYSE. Also joining the trio will be Captain Bo Garvin of Project Lifesaver, Daryl Bank, and representatives from the Morris County, NJ and Suffolk County, NY Sheriffs offices.

The Executive Poker Tour (www.ExecutivePokerTour.com) is a series of nationwide poker events held in casinos across the USA. The events are filmed in High Definition for broadcast on national television. The Executive Poker Tour supports Project Lifesaver International.

The next dates for the Executive Poker Tour are January 11-14 at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ.

The Executive Poker Tour is known for its extremely player-friendly structures. The $2,500 main event starts with 25,000 chips and blinds of just $25-$50.

The Executive Poker Tour's first event in October was a terrific success. Many celebrity poker players joined executives and sports celebrities as the first series of poker tournaments was filmed for television. The first show is now being produced and is expected to air early in 2008.

All interested players are now being invited to the event January 11-14 as the second show is filmed for television. Tournament buy-ins range from $500 to $2,500. Every event is a trophy event.

In addition to tournament action, the famous Million Dollar Cash Game will be held Saturday night, January 12 at 7:00 PM. This is a high-stakes cash game with each player posting a minimum of $100,000.00 in cash just to sit down and play. Previously, the high-stakes action lasted until the sun came up. Many pots were over a quarter of a million dollars each (Rumor has it that one player bought a Bentley with his winnings).

Over $1 million is expected to be on the table Saturday night. The Million Dollar Cash Game will be held in the Trump Poker Room and is open to the public (Unlike that other high-stakes show they film behind closed doors). Spectators can get up close and personal with the millionaire cash players -- and even meet their favorite pro players. This will be an opportunity to chat with the players and get autographs.

(Players wishing to participate who have a minimum of $100,000 should contact the Executive Poker Tour office immediately to guarantee a seat at the event.)

The Executive Poker Tour is open to all players who desire to compete with celebrities and executives. Look for the full-page ad in this month's issue of Bluff Magazine. Super satellites begin at 9:00 AM each day and run through 9:00 PM.

The Main Television Event is very affordable with a buy-in of just $2,500. Players will be regularly rotated through the Featured TV Table. Chances of being on television are excellent. (Players can guarantee a spot at the TV table with a small donation to the charity, Project Lifesaver.)

Players can view the entire schedule of events and satellites on the Executive Poker Tour's website: www.ExecutivePokerTour.com.
