Screencasting is a means of recording computer activity and turning it into a multimedia presentation. I think it will be as fundamental as word processing in 5 years!
Tom, Managing Director of Yorkshire based Digital Marketing, says; "Screencasting is a means of recording computer activity and turning it into a multimedia presentation. I think it will be as fundamental as word processing in 5 years!"

He continues; "Although, screencasting has been around since the early 1990s it's potential has never been fully realised.

"There has been a steady evolution in training and support for software - first there was leaflets, then guides, then manuals, then 'tutorials'.. now comes the Screencast. If a picture paints a thousand words, a video paints a thousand pictures! My aim is to open the floodgates, so that everyone can benefit from video training."

Tom believes the bank of training will grow rapidly as others begin to use the screencasting tools and deliver their own, unique presentations.

"We will help people learn how to make their own screencasts and give them a place to show them off." says Tom, from his office in the rural town of Howden in Yorkshire, England.

"I am on a crusade! I am going to make learning how to use computers easy by creating the largest software training resource on Earth!"

The new site, already gaining recognition, opened with over 100 screencasts showing hints, tips and help using these full multimedia presentations.

If you're looking for help with computing http://www.screencastcentral.com is a good place to start.
