Appellation America Unveils Redesign of Internet Wine Publication and Portal

Appellation America Wine Store tops 100 wineries from across America on heels of site redesign.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 11, 2007 -- Appellation America has unveiled a re-design of its groundbreaking website and online publication devoted to highlighting, exploring and celebrating the differences among America's wine regions. The goal of the redesign was to insure that the site's form as well as function communicates the diversity of America's wine growing regions from Napa Valley to Nova Scotia.

Appellation America is now home to more than 14,000 pages of region-based wine information, containing articles by more than two dozen regional correspondents and editors, wine recommendations and informational databases. The new design emphasizes this diversity of information and topic matter.

"We began our redesign with a simple question: can we recreate Appellation America so that our readers will get the message of regional diversity simply by the way the site appears and the way that they move through it?" explained Managing Editor Adam Dial. "We think we succeeded."

An Online Wine Store that Focuses On Diversity Hits 100
At the same moment that Appellation America launched its redesigned website, the e-commerce side of the company, Appellation America Wine Store reached the milestone of 100 wineries offering an array of products from across America. The ultimate goal of the Appellation America Wine Store is to offer wine lovers a chance to purchase varied wines from every state and province.

"Our goal is to make available fine wines from every corner of the continent," said Eric Quanstrom, Director of Sales & Marketing. "The Wine Store gives readers an informed selection of region-driven wine-buying choices all in one place."

In-house Director of Technology Andrew Corkum headed up the AppellationAmerica.com re-design as well as the redesign of the Appellation America Wine Store.
