KeystoneTech Group Spanning the Globe With IPv6
IPv6, the New Internet protocol, is beginning its worldwide transformation and KeystoneTech Group (http://www.KeystoneTechGroup.com), is part of the global effort, participating in two conferences: AFCEA International Tech Forum Conference (http://www.afcea.org/committees/technology/techforum/) on "IPv6: Mission to Mandate", February 20, 2007, in Crystal City Double Tree Hotel, Arlington, VA, and at the Israel Internet Association Annual 2007 Conference (http://www.isoc.org.il/conf2007/index.html) with a special two-days of panels and workshop offered by the IPv6 Forum-Israel (http://www.ipv6forum-israel.com/) at Airport City Conference Center, Israel, February 19-20, 2007.
(PRWEB) February 18, 2007 -- IPv6 is the New Internet protocol replacing IPv4. This transition is beginning to gain momentum around the world. China, Japan and Korea already have v6 networks in place. India, France, Malaysia, Morocco, and myriad other countries are beginning to explore the impact and methodology of transition. The U.S. federal agency, Office of Management and Budget, issued a mandate requiring all Federal agencies to be using IPv6 by June 30, 2009, instantly igniting an estimated in $150B in federal contracts over the next 10 years. Israel is exporting IPv6 enabled products to Asia.
"The world transition has begun. As IPv6 evangelists and business transition strategy consultants for this protocol, we decided it was important to become an active part of the vital information process required to promote the transition to IPv6," says Limor Schafman, president of KeystoneTech Group. "February 19-20th we will be participating in two events across the world from each other which illustrates the magnitude and breath of the impact IPv6 promises to have on the world, and we are there to help make it happen," continues Schafman.
Always bringing the latest in technology trends and information to its members, AFCEA's Technology Committee decided IPv6 was a vital topic to its constituents. "'Mandate to Mission' will bring together informed panelists to discuss the value of IPv6 transition and its real world applications in government and enterprise," says Jim Griggs, Chief Information Office, AFCEA International. KeystoneTech Group and Anvicon|Command Federal|Command Labs & Education Center are co-sponsors of the event. Timm Johnson, VP of Finance & Operations for KeystoneTech will moderate the panel exploring practical uses of IPv6. "To promote adoption, it is imperative that the value of IPv6 be understood. We will explore what is currently taking place with IPv6 transition in the government sector including voice and wireless applications and connectivity issues," says Johnson.
At the same time on the other side of the globe: Formed last July, 2006, the IPv6 Forum-Israel is a chapter of the IPv6 Forum International (http://www.ipv6forum.com/) which has chapters opening around the world to bring information and resources facilitating the adoption and transition to IPv6. "I felt strongly about what Israel, as a high tech innovation leader, could bring to the development of new products and applications which will take advantage of the new protocol. I and a core group of Israeli high tech executives and educators decided to begin the chapter and we are holding our first conference in partnership with the Israel Internet Association," says Schafman, who is also president of the IPv6 Forum-Israel. The two days of IPv6 panels discussing updates on IPv6 adoption worldwide, commercial ROI and military and first responder use of the new protocol will take place February 19-20, 2007 at the Airport Conference Center outside Tel Aviv, Israel. "Our chapter is about the business of IPv6. Just as IPv4 has opened unforeseen communications capacities with e-mail, web browsing, video downloads, Web 2.0 applications, IPv6's unique blend of features will explode again intercommunication between devices and people in ways currently being explored and yet unimagined," continues Schafman. "The world is beginning its adoption curve and KeystoneTech Group, as a sponsor of both the AFCEA and ISOC-IL IPv6 Forum-Israel events, is there to work with companies wanting to incorporate this new technology with profitable impact into their business models and products."
