Alexandria, Virginia (PRWEB) February 20, 2007 -- Stagefright Survival School www.stagefrightsurvival.com, the Alexandria, Virginia-based school dedicated to helping mid-career professionals overcome their extreme fear of public speaking, was featured on the front page of the Sunday Source section of The Washington Post today.

The article can be accessed online at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/02/15/AR2007021501607_pf.html .

Co-founder Rubin will participate in a live Washington Post online chat at www.washingtonpost.com on Thursday, February 23, 2007.

Stagefright Survival School has been in existence for more than 20 years. The school offers a ten-week course that combines proven anxiety reduction techniques with public speaking coaching. Charney and Rubin say that for many individuals suffering from an extreme fear of public speaking, certain behaviors, actions and symptoms identify the problem. For example, professionals who turn down promotions or concoct excuses to avoid more demands to speak in public may suffer from stagefright. Physical and psychological symptoms of stagefright include a racing heart, excessive sweating, tremulous voice, loss of focus and concentration and excessive shyness.
