While Ellen Degeneres hosts the 2007 Academy Awards in Hollywood, she will magically appear simultaneously as a special guest at the Oscar Celebration in Sedona that supports the Sedona Arts Festival and the Sedona International Film Festival.
Sedona AZ (PRWEB) February 20, 2007 -- When Ellen Degeneres hosts the Academy Awards in Hollywood, she will appear simultaneously in Sedona at an event featuring the Sedona Arts Festival and the Sedona International Film Festival. Is it magic or perhaps a Sedona vortex?
Yes, it is magic and a vortex and her name is Genii!
Genii Townsend, who began her career in Los Angeles in the world of puppetry as a designer, creator and performer, loves to say: "I grant wishes! Your wish is my command." Genii donated an original marionette of Ellen Degeneres worth several thousand dollars that will be auctioned at the Academy Awards Celebration in Sedona to raise funds for the Sedona Arts Festival and the Sedona International Film Festival.
"I just love Ellen and her show is one of my favorites," Genii said. "It gives me great pleasure to be able to share my talents like Ellen does in ways that enlighten others and help them have fun" she continued.
Genii owned and operated Geniiland near Hollywood for 18 years, which was a popular place for celebrities to bring their children for birthday parties. Genii has created over 5,000 marionettes, many of them, "portray puppets: of celebrities such as Cher, Whoopi, Barbra Streisand, Oprah, Deepak Chopra, Barry Manilow, Ellen Degeneres, Liza, Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman, Michael Crawford, Carol Burnett, Doris Day, Bob Hope and Billy Crystal."
Genii now lives in Sedona where she is continuing to create magic, grant wishes and produce life changing programs and products. Her latest project, theWonderful World of Wishes Club project, is a non-profit program designed to help people discover the secrets of how to make their wishes come true.
She has recently founded Imagination Celebration Unlimited, LLC to help children learn how to tap their creative power of imagination and learn successful living skills. She is creating "empower marionettes" of world-class authors and trainers such as Mark Victor Hansen, Deepak Chopra, and Les Brown and inviting them to share their wisdom and training programs with children of all ages through the power of edutainment.
"Just imagine how many lives can be blessed as we translate some of the world's most important wisdom and success principles into a language and medium that can educate, empower and enlighten children of all ages," Townsend said. "Our ultimate vision is to create an international network of Imagine That! Theaters that will help children realize more of their potential which will provide greater leadership capacity for society to address the challenges and the opportunities that face us."
Many of the original pieces Genii has created have been used as fundraisers for non-profit causes. She has created a second marionette of Ellen that will be donated to Ellen or the charity of her choice. The process of creating a marionette can take Genii hundreds of hours over several weeks and because each of them is a one of a kind hand-made original and they become a family heirloom, they are valued at several thousand dollars.
Genii and her company are publishers and producers and distributors of book, electronic books and multi-media programs. When she attended Mark Victor Hansen's Mega Book Marketing University last July, she gifted Mark with a marionette she had made for him. Genii is also helping launch an Ultimate Destiny YOUniversity to help people realize more of their potential, fulfill their purpose and manifest their ultimate destiny.
"I learned a lot about publishing and edutainment when I spent three days with Mark Victor Hansen last July. I am going back to his 2007 Mega Book Marketing University to launch our Wonderful World of Wishes," said Townsend. "Who knows, maybe Imaginella and I will be the next bestselling authors . . . Then we can be on Ellen's Show, produce a movie and win our own Oscar, Imagine That!"
