Focus on Orchids: 200 Orchid Judges Can't Be Wrong
Orchid database provider OrchidWiz, LLC (www.orchidwiz.com) announces 200 American Orchid Society Judges are now running OrchidWiz Encyclopedia software.
Miami Shores, FL (PRWEB) February 26, 2007 -- 200 judges can't possibly be wrong. To date, that is the number of judges who have licensed OrchidWiz throughout the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.
"When it comes to doing orchid research, these are some of the most demanding people in the world," says Alex Maximiano, Managing Director at OrchidWiz. "We are proud to be one of their preferred tools."
OrchidWiz credits its success to its three development focuses: Ease-of-use, accuracy, and completeness. "Other orchid databases failed to gain popularity primarily due to usability issues," says Alex. "From the start we decided to focus development on features that make software research enjoyable to all users, not only judges and breeders."
"OrchidWiz is without a doubt one of the best programs to utilize for Judging," says Linda Wilhelm, AOS Accredited Judge with the Carolinas Judging Center. "The organization of the information and presentation of search results make it a real pleasure to use."
Alice Barrios, an AOS Accredited Judge with in Houston calls the program marvelous. "It is very user friendly," she adds. And Mike Blietz, AOS Accredited Judge in Maui, tells OrchidWiz "you have advanced Orchid knowledge to a much higher level with your program."
OrchidWiz Encyclopedia is used by orchid aficionados in 32 countries. In addition to the individual judges, twelve AOS judging centers have licensed OrchidWiz. The program is also used in the daily operations of over 150 orchid nurseries and other professional organizations including U.S. Fish and Wildlife, the US Botanic Garden in Washington D.C., the Munich Botanical Garden in Germany, and many more.
