Twitter With a Twist - A Life Equation Everyone Needs someone to talk to
The satoricode web site has just embarked upon a project to bring emotional intelligence to the Internet. No one who is hurting should be left without some one to talk to.
"There is a very important equation in this life that we live; A + b = c,
A: We all have problems.
B: It fells better when we can talk to some one even if they just listen
C: Every one needs some one to talk to sometimes even if that person just listens"
But what happens when some one has no one to talk to they go to satoricode.com?
Nassau, Bahamas (PRWEB) February 27, 2007 -- The satoricode web site has just embarked upon a project to bring emotional intelligence to the Internet.
Imagine a world where the entire Internet responds to the way that you are feeling. There is always some one out there online who notices when you are having a bad day and will not only send you a word of encouragement but will also listen to your problems. Your messenger icon name and other information change according to your mood.
When you log into your favorite chat room or forum or visit your favorite blog everyone else there knows how you are feeling so if you need to be be left alone they know. If you need someone to talk to they know. What if you could give your favorite blogger feed back on how angry you are about their latest post.
This is the technology that is being developed at satoricode.com. The website uses the latest Microsoft technologies to expose an extensible frame work for allowing any website to be "aware" of a visitors mode. Web masters/Blogers can change the websites color scheme, content and messaging in response to how a visitor feels. Web masters/Blogers can also get feed back on how their websites content makes visitors feel.
Apart from tracking the emotions of Internet users the frame work also provides an infrastructure which allows people to express them selves. If a person has some thing on their chest that they wish to express they can do it. They can anonymously take the deepest thoughts of their mind and post them for the world to see. Finally communications a platform has been created to allow Internet users to send positive messages to people who are having a bad day.
When asked why he is doing this creator of satoricode.com Earl Carey had this to say.
"There is a very important equation in this life that we live; A + b = c,
A: We all have problems.
B: It fells better when we can talk to some one even if they just listen
C: Every one needs some one to talk to sometimes even if that person just listens"
He went on to say "Unfortunately in life we do not always have some one to talk to and even worse at times it seams like no one cares.
This can have a substantial negative effect on our internal emotional energies. Now that we have a powerful tool like the Internet which helps to bring us all together we need to use this technology to solve the problem of their being people who are in great emotional pain but have no one to talk to about it."
Already thousands of people from all walks of life, spread all across the globe have visited satoricode.com. Some have become members and the websites technology allows them to post their current mood. If they are having a good day the website allows them to exchange messages with others who may not be having a good day. When ever they post that they are having a bad day other members of the website can send them messages to encourage them, the idea being that no person should be left without some one to talk to when they are not feeling 100%.
Membership is not mandatory how ever for participation. Have something on your mind that is bothering you and you have to get it off of your chest. Anonymously post your thoughts. Think of it as standing on a digital mountain top and shouting your mind to the world.
Before members leave they can anonymously post how they are feeling and this gets added to a pie chart reporting what percentage of visitors share their emotion.
But why are emotions so important? Here is what Mr. Carey had to say
"We are surrounded by electrical devices; radios, cellphones, computers, etc. All of these devices operate by passing electrical currents through resistors, capacitors and other components of electric circuits. The thing which makes he electricity constructive is passing it through the proper conduits. But if that electricity which does so much good was ever to pass in a raw form through our bodies it would destroy us.
It is the same thing for our emotional energies. If we have the proper emotional conduits then our emotional energies can become very constructive. But without the proper conduit having our emotions run raw and wild in our minds and bodies can destroy us.
Improperly managed emotions can lead to emotional intoxication. We are not allowed to drive drunk because doing so endangers ourselves as well as everyone else on the road. What people forget however is that emotions can be just as intoxicating as any alcoholic beverage. In this world we have many people driving through life in a state of intoxication."
And just how does the website help people with their emotional energies?
Well There are two forms of expression available on the website exothermic and endothermic.
In exothermic expression visitors and members get things off of their chess. through poetry, or simply saying whats on their mind indeed what is in there hearts.
These expressions are not judged by others. They are simply meant for others to read and to share in what this person is feeling.
In endothermic reactions members ask questions or post what is on their minds... but in this case there is the option for other visitors and members to respond with comforting words or by sharing their own experiences. This expression is not about getting advice but is purely about emotions ,venting, coping, and helling... the sharing of common experiences etc.
