IPT Performance Transmissions Announces the New Automatic Transmission Boost Controller

The Automatic Transmission Boost Controller works like an electronic "shift kit" by intercepting the signal between the TCU and transmission, thereby giving the driver the ability to select the shift quality that is appropriate for the given driving conditions.

(PRWEB) March 13, 2007 -- After over one year of testing, IPT is now releasing The Automatic Transmission Boost Controller.

The A/T Boost Controller works like an electronic "shift kit" by intercepting the signal between the TCU or ECU and transmission, thereby giving the driver the ability to select the shift quality that is appropriate for the given driving conditions.

This 3" X 4" black box can be mounted in the cockpit, glove box or under the hood and provides the user with four different levels of shift feel.

1) Off- stock vehicle computer signal (pass through mode)
2) Moderate- extra shift feel for daily driving
3) Heavy Duty- firm shifts for racing or "spirited" street use
4) Race Only- max pressure- not recommended for continuous street driving

The Automatic Transmission Boost Controller works in conjunction with a modified valve body, valve body kit, a fully built performance transmission, or as a stand alone unit with no other modifications.

Benefits of the device include:

-Instantly variable shift feel on the fly with the turn of a dial
-Appropriate for Towing and Heavy Duty applications as well as for racing and performance use
-Immediately transforms your vehicle's automatic for firm performance shifts
-Enhances Line Pressure through signal conditioning
-Can be set to a pass thru mode for transparent operation when desired
-Invisible to your vehicle's computer- will not set codes or check engine lights
-Installs easily in less than 1 hour with basic tools
-All electrical connections, mounting hardware and instructions are included

These units are configured for use in multiple applications which include most Domestic, Asian and European transmissions. Custom and "one off" configurations are also available.
