Sport Manager Takes Football Management from the Sideline, Online

Nigel Clough, Burton Albion Manager and former England star, today unveiled the football version of Sport Manager, the UK's first online amateur sports management system.

Derby, Derbyshire UK (PRWEB) March 16, 2007 -- Nigel Clough, Burton Albion Manager and former England star, today unveiled the football version of Sport Manager, the UK's first online amateur sports management system.

I've also noticed mums and dads getting more involved and encouraging their kids too since we've started using the system. Sport Manager makes it easy for parents to keep up with match fixtures and new team developments and there's even a route planner for dads driving to away games!
Created by the combined talents of local Derbyshire lads Chris Goodwin and Mark Haslam, Sport Manager is set to change the face of amateur football, by aligning it with the Premiership and other professional football leagues in its capacity to coach, manage and organise.

Sport Manager Football is the first of a series of sport focused software tools designed by the duo to allow managers, players and even supporters of amateur teams to interact online, making it the only system of its kind in the UK.

Sport Manager Football simplifies the administration of player subscriptions, club accounts, and other off-the-pitch responsibilities that all amateur teams face, but more importantly it provides coaches with invaluable tools to improve team performance and gain that competitive edge.

The ability to track statistics such as winning team formations and individual player performance, create match analysis reports, and even forecast the weather on match day will ensure that any team using Sport Manager will be a league ahead!

Sport Manager Football includes over 30 features; some of these are so sophisticated, that they can provide the manager with vital information that can determine team tactics. This data can be shared online with the team in advance of a match fixture.

Nigel Clough commented: "I am delighted to be involved with the introduction of Sport Manager. There is a wealth of footballing talent across the country, and its great news that such a major investment has been made which I believe will seriously improve the amateur game."

"Fostering new talent is a key element of Sport Manager Football and many of the software features will help in spotting rising football stars. The system tracks individual player profiles after each match based on goals scored, appearances, performance rating, man of the match and bookings, etc." he added.

Mark Haslam, the Sports Development Director of Sport Manager, commented: "Sport Manager will recognise the cream of amateur footballing talent at the end of each season with high profile awards such as Sport Manager Football Top Goal Scorer, Sport Manager Football Amateur Footballer of the Year and naturally, Sport Manager Football Coach of the Year"

Richard Winfield, Club Manager of local junior team Duffield Dynamo Sharks, is the first amateur coach in the UK to benefit from using the Sport Manager Football system.

Richard commented: "The job of club manager is a complex one and it is easy to get bogged down with paperwork, subscriptions and accounts. For me this system has taken away the headache associated with club administration, leaving me more time to focus on the players.

"I've also noticed mums and dads getting more involved and encouraging their kids too since we've started using the system. Sport Manager makes it easy for parents to keep up with match fixtures and new team developments and there's even a route planner for dads driving to away games!" he added.

Amateur football clubs are being encouraged to take advantage of a 14-day free trial at www.sportmanager.com/football. Subscription to Sport Manager costs £6.50 per month with discounts available for clubs wishing to manage multiple teams using the system.
