XC Virtual Summer Camp with Brad Hudson Exclusive World Class Coaching Presented by Training Peaks and Garmin International

The Virtual Summer Camp is an exclusive, 12-week summer base-training program for high school cross-country runners. The program is designed by elite running coach Brad Hudson -- for only $350 the cross country athlete can train with a Brad Hudson training plan which is delivered through the on-line training system by Training Peaks, and receive a Garmin Forerunner 305. Use of this base training plan plus these hi-tech training tools will surely provide the high school cross country athlete a competitive advantage this fall.
This program is close to my heart and I'm excited to bring it to life

Boulder, CO (PRWEB) March 31, 2007 -- High school athletes across the globe will have the opportunity to train this summer with world-class cross country coach Brad Hudson through an exclusive Cross-Country Virtual Training Program.

Starting June 4th and ending August 26, athletes from anywhere on the planet will be able to log in and start training with Brad Hudson. Their exclusive training plan will be delivered via a feature rich training tool designed by Training Peaks, LLC -- the leader in on-line training software for the endurance athlete. This package includes a 3-month training plan designed by Brad Hudson, a 3-month subscription to Training Peaks Virtual Coach Software, and a Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS/HRM. The combination of these three training tools is the latest in hi-technology training. Athletes will be able to follow the training plan and upload data captured on the Forerunner to the Training Peaks Virtual Coach software on the web at www.trainingpeaks.com.

"This program is close to my heart and I'm excited to bring it to life," says Donavon Guyot, CEO of Training Peaks. "I was a passionate cross-country runner in High School, but my team didn't have a summer training program. After spring track, I was pretty much on my own all summer long. The dream of offering young athletes access to a program like this is one of the reasons we started Training Peaks in the first place."

Before this sort of high-tech solution, the services of world-class coaches like Brad Hudson were only available to a very select group of athletes. Hudson's impressive list of past and current clients includes two-time Olympian Shayne Culpepper, former NCAA cross-country champion Jorge Torres, high-school and NCAA cross-country national champion Dathan Ritzenhein, 2003 national steeplechase champion Steve Slattery, and 2001 National marathon champion Scott Larson. He too is a former marathon champion.

"Runners like Jorge and Dathan have proven that Americans can be competitive on the biggest stages in the world. My goal is to use this program to give back some of the things I have learned from working with our nation's greatest running talents, while laying the foundation for future generations of runners."

In addition to personally designing all of the training plans for the program, Brad will also be available for advice via an on-line forum and provide training tips in a weekly newsletter. This kind of access to Brad Hudson is unprecedented. Registration for the Cross-Country Virtual Summer Camp with Brad Hudson begins on April 2, 2007. The cost of the program, including a Garmin Forerunner 305, is $350 and is exclusively available at www.trainingpeaks.com/xc.

"By partnering with Brad and Garmin we're able to deliver access to world-class coaching through our software for the retail price of a Garmin Forerunner 305 alone," concludes Donavon Guyot. "This program is truly the first of its kind in the world and will be talked about for years to come by those lucky enough to take part."
