Oracle® Expert to Unveil New Financial Software at Upcoming Conference

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) April 15, 2007 -- Helene Abrams, an internationally recognized technology expert formerly with Oracle, Deloitte & Touche and Ernst & Young, announced today the launch of FlexField™, a new software program that allows businesses to change their Charts of Accounts in Oracle Applications® as often as they change their business. Abrams will debut the software at the Collaborate '07 conference for Oracle users in Las Vegas from April 15-19.
The software announcement is welcome news based on a just-released survey of Oracle users. More than 80 percent said they needed to change their Chart of Accounts, a set of codes used to record financial transactions, but found the process expensive and complex. Some reported loss of history, among other problems. Companies that used internal resources to make changes said that on average they spent $1.7 million and needed 6,700 person-hours to make the changes.
Abrams said that Oracle Applications offer tremendous flexibility at the time a company initially implements the popular Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. But once a company sets up the "flexfields," where the values and data are entered, it is often difficult and expensive to make changes. To drive home the flexibility advantage, Abrams will have a contortionist performing at her booth at the Collaborate '07 conference.
FlexField, with its built-in knowledge base of Oracle Applications, allows companies to make changes and bring in their transaction history over a weekend while maintaining relational integrity. Already, blue-chip companies are calling Abrams about FlexField.
