By choosing Orion Health's Concerto Medical Applications Portal, Lahey colleagues will be provided with a solution that moves beyond simple Single Sign-On (SSO) password management capabilities to present a completely unified view of patient data that resides on disparate applications throughout the clinic's facilities.
"Using Concerto, physicians will be able to perform highly customizable searches to quickly locate the data they need to perform clinical assessments," said Nelson Gagnon, CIO, Information Services, Lahey Clinic. "Having the data they need in a single, unified view means the physician has a complete view of the patient's history and current status at their fingertips."
The Web-based system will also allow clinicians to securely share selective data with other facilities for the purpose of communication or consultation. Since the data never leaves Lahey Clinic's system, privacy and security are ensured and access is completely controlled by Lahey Clinic.

At Lahey Clinic, more than 430 physicians and 4,466 nurses, therapists and other support staff work together in a multidisciplinary approach that allows patients access to preeminent physicians from virtually every medical specialty. Specialists in different areas and in different sites cooperate to develop personalized treatment plans for each patient. A key requirement for Lahey in purchasing a portal solution was the ability to integrate data from best of breed applications across the various disciplines.
