Bella Coola, BC (PRWEB) May 3, 2007 -- Bella Coola Heli Sports Inc announces the purchase of a new heliskiing operation adding half a million acres of diverse heliskiing terrain to their already vast 1.5 million acre tenure.

After conducting three weeks of exploratory heliskiing in Pantheon's mountains, this past winter, we are excited about this new opportunity. The heliskiing potential is world class, and many runs are in excess of 5,000 vertical feet. Peter "Swede" Mattsson, President and operations manager of Bella Coola Heli Sports, says "the addition of Pantheon's terrain will give yet another dimension to the already well known Bella Coola terrain. The views are spectacular, the tree skiing is incredible and the feedback from our guests was excellent." Being located on the drier, east side of the Coast Range, this area is perfectly situated to take advantage of the abundant coastal snowfalls while at the same time offering better snow quality and more sunny days.

Much of this terrain is still unexplored, so we invite you to join us for some first descent heliskiing adventures in 2008!

Heliskiing will take place in a landscape as wild as it gets in Canada, filled with skiing opportunities that would rival any location. Mitchell Scott, Globe and Mail, Making Peace with the Mountain Gods.

Pantheon is located directly to the south of the existing Bella Coola heliskiing tenure and is just east of Mt. Waddington, the highest peak in British Columbia. The area is visually stunning, and has been used as a backdrop by a number of high profile Hollywood films, including Franc Roddams' K2, Martin Scorsese's Kundun and Jean Jacques Annaud's Seven Years in Tibet.

Bella Coola Heli Sports feels that the addition of Pantheon will compliment their already successful heliskiing operation by offering guests more choices and more space in which to heliski and heliboard. The strength of the combined operations will continue to be one of personable one on one guest care, easy access to the operation for all travelers, as well as the fantastic powder skiing that keeps bringing people back year after year.
