CouponCuisine Uses Public Response To Launch Its Web 2.0 Restaurant Coupon-Marketing System

CouponCuisine is attracting both restaurants and customers across the United States using a multimedia "voting" process. The results will help establish which cities are involved with the online restaurant coupon service.

Gainesville, FL (PRWEB) May 8, 2007 -- The restaurant coupon authority, CouponCuisine, is letting soon-to-be users decide what cities and restaurants will be involved with the Web 2.0 marketing system. By recommending their local dining establishments using a brief survey, families and friends can "vote"for their area to receive restaurant coupons.

We're prepared to offer CouponCuisine to restaurants and guests nationwide from day one. The voting module shows locations with the greatest interest and reduces our need for traditional marketing
"I wanted to quickly discover the hotspots for restaurant coupon marketing," says Nathan Gilder, the visionary behind CouponCuisine. "Being in touch with potential users is encouraging and helps us considerably when approaching restaurants in their areas."

The core of the voting system is a Flash-based module, seen at the top of the CouponCuisine Blog. After entering their information, the user's zip code is recorded and managed by a database. The poll updates in real-time, displaying results on a map of the USA. As users in the same location submit more responses, graphics change to reflect their interest in obtaining restaurant coupons from CouponCuisine. The company intends to work with restaurants in areas that have high voter-to-population ratios.

"We're prepared to offer CouponCuisine to restaurants and guests nationwide from day one. The voting module shows locations with the greatest interest and reduces our need for traditional marketing," says Gilder.

CouponCuisine is the first "democratic system" that asks potential coupon recipients where they want savings and then acts on those recommendations. Once users have participated in CouponCuisine's restaurant survey, they are encouraged to tell peers to vote. Because the website operates in areas that have a strong membership base, this referral technique increases the likelihood that a new member will receive coupons.

It's important to note that the website was built with restaurant operators in mind. By offering a comprehensive suite of marketing solutions, CouponCuisine goes beyond a mere coupon directory. The website is a "communication strategy" designed to bring maximum positive attention to restaurants. This focus makes the website an integral part of restaurant marketing.

Participating restaurants will garner exposure by a number of traditional online and Web 2.0 promotional techniques. They have the opportunity to be interviewed, provide video and audio content to guests, receive valuable feedback from CouponCuisine members, and be featured in blog posts or articles. CouponCuisine also gives business and marketing training, allowing restaurateurs to better implement offline advertising on their own.

CouponCuisine wants you to sign up for their service. It's what it sounds like - you get coupons for local restaurants. But there's a catch; the site will choose (up to) five cities to serve first based on votes from new members. Later, it seems, "Depe
