Web2Anything Enables Information to Flow from Web to Any Object in Salesforce.com without Coding or Re-Keying

A new on-demand application from Model Metrics called Web2Anything enables data to flow from a company's web site directly into salesforce.com without any coding or re-keying, saving countless hours. Now information like customer surveys, orders, job applications and literature requests can go directly from a web site into a new or existing record in salesforce.com. This simplifies, streamlines and enhances business processes across the enterprise.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 11, 2007 -- Millions of unnecessary keystrokes have just been eliminated, thanks to a new application that enables information to flow from a company's website into salesforce.com, the leading on-demand customer relationship management (CRM) application, without any coding or re-keying.

Web2Anything, available on salesforce.com's AppExchange, is an on-demand application that lets users capture data from outside sources and create records in salesforce.com. It associates entries from a website to records already in that user's system, based on an email address or any other field. It lists all salesforce.com fields, letting users choose any combination of Objects, Tabs or Fields to include.

Web2Anything was developed by Model Metrics, the Midwest's leading on-demand CRM consulting firm and one of salesforce.com's key implementation partners. Initially developed to enable Model Metrics' customers to capture and automatically upload data from their web page for various applications, Web2Anything evolved to become available to companies and individuals worldwide via the AppExchange.

"Just as salesforce.com makes it easy to connect leads and cases to your website, Web2Anything now makes it easy to web-enable any object," said Adam Caplan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Model Metrics. "Web2Anything's unlimited flexibility allows the capture of data from surveys, registrations, orders, candidate tracking, literature requests and just about anything else."

Service Brands Simplifies Processes, Qualifies Prospects Using Web2Anything

Service Brands International, a multi-brand franchiser that offers a variety of home services franchise concepts, began using Web2Anything in March 2007. Based in Ann Arbor, Service Brands franchises include Molly Maid, Mr. Handyman, 1-800-Dryclean and DUCTZ International, a duct-cleaning service.

An essential key business process is Service Brands' Confidential Qualification Information form, a brief questionnaire that helps to determine if a prospective franchisee is a good fit with the organization and vice versa. The survey determines the geographic markets, time frame, initial investment outlay and interest level of each prospect, and is an essential first step in relationship building.

In the past, prospects completed the confidential survey on the franchise web site and a third party service managed responses and provided Service Brands with a data file. That information was entered into Service Brands' internal database, then extracted and put into salesforce.com

Sometimes prospects found themselves dealing with the occasional technology glitch when they'd complete the survey and click "submit," but the information did not transmit properly, requiring them to go back and fill out the form again. Sometimes Service Brands had to personally send the survey to the prospect as a Word document, asking them to complete it and email or fax it back. The process had grown cumbersome, too labor intensive, and it delayed getting leads into the sales team's hands. It was time to elevate this process to the next level.

Service Brands already worked with Model Metrics as its salesforce.com implementation partner, so when they analyzed the challenges Service Brands faced, Model Metrics demonstrated how Web2Anything would address their needs.

The application was customized to fit Service Brands' specific requirements, and in a few short weeks the new system was up and running.

"Thanks to Web2Anything and salesforce.com, we are on track to double or even triple our volume of incoming leads this year," said Rob Goggins, Vice President, Franchise Development of Service Brands. "There have already been huge time savings. Our IT department isn't spending nearly as much time on this process, and we worry much less about technology glitches. Our people love this solution; we estimate it will save us about 100 man hours per year."

How Web2Anything Works

After downloading Web2Anything from Salesforce.com's AppExchange, the user creates a Web2Anything account, then selects the Objects to link to their website. Web2Anything generates HTML that is placed on a user's website to enable the capture of data.

When data is input on the website, Web2Anything creates the record in Salesforce.com. Workflow can notify users to view the new entry, and reports run in Salesforce.com will include the new data. The entire process is easy to use and follow.

Web2Anything is free to try for 30 days. Basic pricing is $1,500 per object per year, with other pricing options available. More information is available at www.Web2Anything.com.

Salesforce.com's AppExchange is the world's first Web marketplace for on-demand applications. The AppExchange lets users find, sample and select from hundreds of applications that run on Salesforce.com's Apex platform.
