Manhattan, New York Dermatologist Debra Jaliman, MD One of First to Offer the New FDA Approved Facial Filler Perlane

Board Certified Dermatologist, Debra Jaliman, MD from Manhattan, New York announced today that she will be offering the new FDA approved facial filler Perlane. The dermatologist (who is in private practice in NYC) will be one of the first to offer this highly anticipated facial filler.

Manhattan, NY (PRWEB) May 21, 2007 -- Board Certified Dermatologst, Debra Jaliman, MD of Manhattan, New York announced today that she will be one of the first Manhattan, New York cosmetic dermatologists to offer her patients the new FDA approved facial filler Perlane.

Perlane has been used safely and effectively by dermatologists and plastic surgeons since 2000 outside the United States. Dr. Jaliman studied over a two year period in Europe with cosmetic surgeons to learn how to safely and effectively perform the procedure. "I felt it was necessary to receive not only first-had training on how to use Perlane but also to attend the training courses to become certified in using a brand new facial filler. The training and courses were only being offered in Europe. Most doctors just receive the facial injectable from drug reps and read the literature on the administration process. I am much more hands on and believe in solid education before offering a new cosmetic procedure," reports Doctor Jaliman, who has been using Perlane facial fillers on patients in Europe for over two years.

These products are the best for acne scars because they stimulates the body to make its own collagen
According to a survey released in February, 2007, by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) American's have become more interested in faster results will less down-time. The annual survey found that there was a 69% increase among women and a 91% increase among men undergoing non-surgical facial plastic and cosmetic surgery since 2000.

In response to this demand, facial fillers have become one of the most requested cosmetic procedures. "Many of my NYC patients are looking for immediate results with no-downtime. It is astonishing how many of my patients are requesting facial fillers."

Facial fillers are injections which yield immediate results and require no down-time. They can dramatically correct wrinkles, diminish smile lines, crow's feet, marionette lines, and smokers lines. The more modern uses of facial fillers are lip augmentation, filling cheek depressions, correcting acne scars, redefining the lip border, chin augmentation, as well as a nonsurgical
alternative to rhinoplasty.

According to the Manhattan dermatologist the most common uses of facial fillers by brand include:
Radiesse to build cheek bones and Cosmoplast, Captique, Comoderm, Restylane, Silicone (microdroplets) and Perlane for acne scars. "These products are the best for acne scars because they stimulates the body to make its own collagen," states Debra Jaliman, MD. Radiesse is popular for nasal labial folds and marionette lines. For lip augmentation Cosmplast and Cosmoderm for lip borders. "Perlane will most likely be the new facial filler of choice now that it is FDA approved, "says the NYC dermatologist. Perlane can last for over 9 months, making it one of the longer lasting non-permanent facial fillers. "I have see it last for well over a year," reports Dr. Jaliman.

The Board Certified Dermatologist has hundreds of patients who have been to other doctors for facial fillers and encountered complications such and lumping, bumps, and over-correction. She is well known for developing her own technique for fixing Perlane, Juvederm, Hylaform, Restylane, and basically any other facial filler mistake by another doctor. " I can often dissolve the mistake without dissolving the fillers," says the dermatologist.

Debra jaliman, MD is a Board Certified Dermatologist in private practice in Manhattan, New York.
