The first phase of Honua Kai's second condominium tower, Konea, was released last December and resulted in developer Intrawest's second highest sales record for a single day, outdone only by the initial release of Honua Kai in December 2005, where 318 condominiums sold out in just 8 hours.
Similar to previous releases, many new Honua Kai homeowners are long time Maui loyalists and frequent mainland visitors from the West Coast, specifically California. A new host of Homeowners were welcomed in this final release, hailing from the north. As a result of easy access through direct flights, as well as a strong economy, one-fifth of the new Homeowners at Honua Kai hail from Alberta, Canada.
The Final Collection of beachfront condominiums at Honua Kai featured one, one-plus den, two, and three bedroom units ranging in price from $695,000 to over $5 Million.
