MD-IT, a provider of medical transcription services and software to physician offices and ambulatory clinics, announced today that it has acquired SecureMTSource, Inc., a transcription company serving Kentucky and the greater southeast region for over twenty-five years.

Boulder, CO (PRWEB) June 2, 2007 -- MD-IT, a provider of medical transcription services and software to physician offices and ambulatory clinics, announced today that it has acquired SecureMTSource, Inc., a transcription company serving Kentucky and the greater southeast region for over twenty-five years. The company's owner will remain with MD-IT as managing director of its Louisville office.

"I am very excited by the technology that will be available to our clients now that my business is part of MD-IT," stated Marlene McCoy, president of SecureMTSource. "This will open up a whole new world for our customers, enabling them to use 21st century technologies to simplify the process of medical documentation. Our clients will now be able to easily create, track and retrieve information from electronic records while ensuring the privacy and security of their patient data."

"We are thrilled to have a group with such depth of experience in medical transcription as SecureMTSource join us," said Thomas Carson, president and CEO of MD IT. "The Louisville area is a major center for the health care and life science industries. Our company is looking forward to becoming part of this innovative business community."
MD-IT specializes in applying new technologies to simplify the task of documenting patient visits to health care providers, which today is still predominantly a paper-based record system. The company's web-based document platform makes it easy for health care providers to create digital records of each patient visit using the tool that best suits their documentation style, from traditional telephone dictation to speech recognition.
