The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates has launched a new web resource for individuals and organizations interested in the UAE-US bilateral relationship.
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) June 14, 2007 -- The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates has launched a new web resource for individuals and organizations interested in the UAE-US bilateral relationship.
The web site, http://www.uae-us.org, provides a comprehensive overview of social and cultural relations, bilateral trade and security cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the United States. The site also provides a regularly updated library of useful links and third-party analysis of the UAE, from US and UAE government sources, international media and high-level research and academic institutions.
The UAE and US have enjoyed a long and peaceful relationship, rooted in shared strategic interests that include:
• Enhancing regional stability and security
• Ensuring reliable energy supplies to world markets
• Encouraging global free trade and investment
• Confronting terrorism and extremism.
The UAE is at a historic point in its development. In just over three decades, its government has transformed the nations economy from one reliant on agriculture and fishing to an entrepreneurial success story with world-class infrastructure.
Its leadership has dramatically improved the provision of education, the delivery of world-class health care and embraced rapid change and development. Economically, the UAE is now the largest export market for US companies in the Middle East and North Africa, and therefore a significant trading partner.
Through the many initiatives outlined on www.uae-us.org, the UAE continues to undergo a rapid process of modernization at home, consistent with its history and traditional values, while building on its many and diverse international interests.
The United Arab Emirates is a young nation of seven independent city-states − Abu Dhabi, Ajmān, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al-Quwain − that combines its rich traditions with a progressive outlook.
