Informational Website Launched by Greenville Company For 2007 USA Cycling Professional Championships

AVF Creations, developers of the Greenville Hospital System USA Cycling Professional Championships website, www.usacyclingchampionships.com/index.php, launched the 2007 event website on June 18. Greenville, S.C. will host this event Labor Day weekend for the second year, attracting over 60,000 spectators in 2006.

Greenville, S.C. (PRWEB) June 22, 2007 -- AVF Creations, developers of the Greenville Hospital System USA Cycling Professional Championships website, http://www.usacyclingchampionships.com/index.php, launched the 2007 event website on June 18. Greenville, S.C. will host this event Labor Day weekend for the second year, attracting over 60,000 spectators in 2006.

The website showcases the event, professional cyclists and festival activities for spectators, as well as the entire Upstate South Carolina area. Currently the site offers hospitality information, media credential application, volunteer application, recreational riding tips and background information on the championships. The site will be refreshed each week with rider bios, route maps, detailed event schedules, streaming videos, and photo galleries.

The website is designed and managed by Greenville-based marketing firm AVF Creations (www.avfcreations.com). AVF also designed the 2006 event website and the 2007 TourdeGeorgia.com site. Managing Partner Russell Tripp of AVF says, "Being a Greenville based company, we are proud of where we live, so we have added features to the website that extend beyond the event itself and place a focus on the whole Upstate community. The goal is to draw people to the event, provide them with as much information as possible, and showcase the venue itself. Hopefully we'll help fans discover just how great this part of the country is. All it takes is one visit here to get a taste of what a great area the Upstate is, and you are hooked. The website will help draw the people here for that first taste."

Online volunteer forms and helpful visitor information on the web site make it simple for people who want to be involved in the event or attend any of the ancillary events like concerts, and the Palmetto Peloton Project charity bicycle ride that are all part of the weekend schedule. USACyclingChampionships.Com/index.php also features information about the sponsoring companies, like this year's Title Sponsor, the Greenville Hospital System, and the presenting sponsor of the Time Trial Championship, The Cliffs Communities.

"We are very excited to once again partner with AVF Creations on the development and execution of the official website for the Greenville Hospital System USA Cycling Professional Championships. AVF Creations has become a true extension of our organization and provides turn-key marketing support and activation for our corporate partners," said Chris Aronhalt, managing partner of Medalist Sports, the sports agency licensed by USA Cycling to manage the event. "The eyes of the world will be upon the Upstate over Labor Day weekend, as last year we enjoyed unique visitors from over 49 countries."

Brian Kelly, a Managing Partner with AVF, adds that Greenville has grown in national recognition as a choice location for cyclists of all levels to live and train. "Add in the great economic development opportunities, the natural resources surrounding us, and the great mix of people that make up our community, and we have a real destination location on our hands. Through the use of video, photos, and articles about the things to do here, this website will draw cycling fans and enthusiasts from all over the world to the Greenville area."

The Greenville Hospital System USA Cycling Professional Championships event is sanctioned by USA Cycling (www.usacycling.org) and is organized and managed by Medalist Sports (www.medalistsports.com). The 2006 USA Cycling Professional Time Trial Championship, presented by The Cliffs, was won by David Zabriskie (Team CSC) and the 2006 USA Cycling Professional Road Race championship was won by George Hincapie (Discovery Channel). The official web site for the 2007 Greenville Hospital System USA Cycling Professional Championships is www.usacyclingchampionships.com/index.php. AVF Creations can be found online at www.avfcreations.com.
