Kaseya Purchases Technology Assets of Versora Corporation Desktop Migration Technology to be Integrated with Kaseya's Managed Services Automation Software

Kaseya today announced that it has purchased the technology assets of Versora, a privately held desktop migration software provider based in Santa Barbara, Calif., as a means to bolster Kaseya's Managed Services Automation (MSA) software to include the capability to transfer user preferences, profiles, data and settings to new computers with the same or different operating systems.*

St. Helier (PRWEB) June 22, 2007 -- Managed service providers and corporate IT departments have long been troubled by the task of porting user settings between old and new machines. Versora's technology will allow Kaseya to provide a seamlessly integrated tool to ease this process for its customers. Kaseya's MSA framework along with Versora's technology will make this tedious task a simple, automated and easily monitored process ensuring maximum productivity and up-time.

"Versora's software adds a strategic capability to any systems management software framework, and we are pleased to be able to add the capabilities of Versora's software to our offering," said Gerald Blackie, CEO of Kaseya. "This technology brings us another step closer to our goal of offering the most complete IT services automation platform possible."

This technology brings us another step closer to our goal of offering the most complete IT services automation platform possible.
Versora's technology will help standardize the provisioning of new desktops and network devices. Additionally, Versora will allow IT administrators and MSPs to enforce policy management on user machines to ensure corporate standards.

Versora's current product line will be retired, and the technology will be integrated into Kaseya's software platform and released, it is hoped, by the fourth quarter of 2007. The Versora software currently supports Linux and Windows, and OS X. Financial details of the transaction are not being disclosed.
