Multi-User Platform Allows Unprecedented Collaboration in K-12 Classrooms

This new upgrade, which will preview at NECC, transforms your Promethean interactive whiteboard into an 'Activarena', allowing true collaboration, project based learning, and small group interaction in the classroom.
Activarena allows students to work together at the Activboard using multiple devices such as Promethean's unique Activpen to drag-and-drop, highlight, switch between pages, and activate sounds and images - creating unlimited possibilities for interactive learning in the classroom. For the first time ever, Promethean has developed a commercial product that enables more than one input to be made at once on an interactive whiteboard, so teacher and pupil, or pupil and pupil, can really work together. Promethean will host demonstrations at NECC, the National Computing Conference, in Atlanta, Georgia, June 24-27 and plans to run advanced interaction pilot projects throughout 2007. Researchers and third party educational software companies will be able to work with Promethean in developing innovative applications through a developer toolkit which will be available in the coming months.
