3rd Annual 2006-07 All-Dunkadelic Team and 2nd Annual 2006-07 College All-Dunkadelic Teams, MVP and Honorable Mentions Awards
The annual collection of the best dunker's on the professional and college level. LeBron, Dwight Howard and Vince Carter top the pro team. Greg Oden and Kevin Durant highlight the college team. LeBron James and Greg Oden selected as All-Dunkadelic Team MVP's.
(PRWEB) June 29, 2007 -- The Annual All-Dunkadelic Teams marks the beginning of the 4th of July National Holiday celebration, and the end of the basketball season. The All-Dunkadelic Teams were inspired by the NBA Inside Stuff Special Collector's Edition "Dunkadelic Issue" that was published in Dec/Jan 2005.

Players are rated on highlight reel dunks during the regular-season and playoffs (5 points). All-Star game dunks (2 points). Dunks during the regular season and playoffs "Dunkadelic-Meter" (1 point). The Slam Dunk Champ gets (50 points) and runner-up (25 points). There were 14 players with 100 or more dunks on the season.
3rd Annual 2006-07 All-Dunkadelic First Team:
LeBron James (Cleve) -- 425 points, "King James" a spectacular and powerful dunker during the regular-seson and the playoffs led the Cavs to the NBA Finals. Was 10th in dunks with 108 and tied for 2nd during playoffs with 18. LeBron had more highlights than any other player. LeBron is a 3-time All-Dunkadelic First Team Selection. "LeBron James, 2006-07 All-Dunkadelic Team MVP".
Dwight Howard (Orl) -- 409 points, D-12 is considered the most explosive big-man in the game today. Was #1 in dunks during the regular-season with 254. He had 74 more dunks than the second place place player on the "Dunkadelic-Meter." Howard had 10 playoff dunks. Dwight is making his second straight All-Dunkadelic Team (Second Team in 05-06).
Amare Stoudemire (Phx) -- 350 points, Amare the 2004-05 All-Dunkadelic Team MVP is the prototype explosive big-man of the new era was slowed by injuries last season playing in only 3 games. "STAT" came back strong this season ranked 2nd in dunks with 180. Amare led the playoffs with 26 throw-downs. Amare is making his 2nd All-Dunkadelic First Team.
Vince Carter (NJ) -- 296 points, "Vinsanity" is still one of the 3 best dunker's in the game. Carter a 3-time All-Dunkadelic First Team selection. Vince and LeBron are the only 2 players to make All-Dunkadelic First Team for 3 straight years.
Andre Iguodala (Phila) -- 277 points, Andre is the only AI in Philly now is one of the 5 best dunkers in the NBA. Iguodala was selected to the 2004-05 All-Dunkadelic Third Team as a rookie, 2006-07 All-Dunkadelic Third Team last season, and is making his 1st All-Dunkadelic First Team. Andre finished the regular-season with 120 dunks that ranked him 8th on the list.
3rd Annual 2006-07 All-Dunkadelic Second Team:
Shawn Marion (Phx) -- 272 points, "The Matrix" was 3rd in dunks with 169 behind team-mate Amare Stoudemire. Shawn who is quick and explosive is making his 3rd straight All-Dunkadelic Team (First Team 2005-06, Third Team 2004-05).
Carmelo Anthony (Den) -- 267 points, Melo was 5th in dunks with 157 despite missing 15 due to suspension. Anthony has become more explosive each of his 4 NBA seasons. Carmelo is making his 2nd straight All-Dunkadelic Second Team.
Chris Wilcox (Sea) -- 255 points, Chris was 4th in dunks with 161. Wilcox is regarded as the most explosive power forward in the game. He was an honorable mention last-season, and is making his first All-Dunkadelic Team.
Josh Smith (Atl) -- 233 points, Josh Smith the 2005 NBA Slam Dunk Champ was 14th in dunks with 101 during the regular-season. Smith one of the 3 best dunking small forwards in the game is making his 2nd All-Dunkadelic Team (Third Team 2004-05).
Kobe Bryant (LAL) -- 224 points, KB24 was 40th in dunks with 59 but was 3rd in highlight dunks behind LeBron and Vince. Kobe still explosive to the rim after 11-seasons is making his 3rd straight All-Dunkadelic Team (First Team 2005-06, Second Team 2004-05).
3rd Annual 2006-07 All-Dunkadelic Third Team:
Carlos Boozer (Utah) -- 210 points, Carlos finished in the top 30 with 68 dunks during the regular-season making over 20 big dunk-highlights. Boozer has become more explosive since he first arrived in the NBA. He was tied for 2nd with 18 playoff dunks. Carlos is making his first All-Dunkadelic Team.
Chris Bosh (Tor) -- 195 points, CB was 15th in dunks during the regular-season with 90, and is the 4th player from the 2003 NBA Draft that has made the All-Dunkadelic Team. He's explosive to the rim. Bosh is making his 2nd straight All-Dunkadelic Third Team.
Gerald Green (Bos) -- 174 points, Double-G won the 2007 NBA Slam Dunk contest is considered one of the 10 best dunker's in the game. Green had only 34 regular-season dunks, but made 18 highlights. He had the highest percentage of his dunks on the highlight reel. Green is making his 1st All-Dunkadelic Team.
Mikki Moore (NJ) -- 152 points, Mikki was 13th in dunks with 101. Moore is a slashing and explosive small forward/power forward that attacks the rim like a Latrell Sprewell. He was tied for 2nd with 18 playoff dunks. Mikki is making his 1st All-Dunkadelic Team.
Tyrus Thomas (Chi) -- 145 points, Thomas is a 6'10 explosive leaper and dunker in the mold of Amare Stoudemire is the only rookie to make the All-Dunkadelic Team. Tyrus had 76 dunks during the regular-season for the Bulls. He also was 11th on the playoff dunk list with 13.
2006-07 Honorable Mentions:
Eddy Curry (New York), Hakim Warrick (Memphis), Nene (Den), Luol Deng (Chi), Samuel Dalembert (Phila), Gerald Wallace (Charl), Dwyane Wade (MIa), Tayshaun Prince (Det).

Brent Petway (Michigan) 2007 College Slam Dunk runner-up. Of his 286 field-goals Petway had 145 dunks 51%.
