Hawaii Superferry to Launch in July 2007

Kaanapali Beach Hotel Prepares for an Increase in Hotel Occupancy as the Hawaii Superferry Makes its Maiden Voyage
We anticipate that the affordable ferry service will encourage local resident inter-island travel to Maui and believe this will enhance our guests' uniquely Hawaiian experience.

Lahaina, Hawaii (PRWEB) July 1, 2007 -- In July 2007, the Hawaii Superferry will begin passenger and vehicle ferry service between Oahu and Maui six days a week. Currently the only way for locals and tourists to travel to the islands is by airplane, which can be economically challenging with the increasing cost of airfare travel within the state of Hawaii. With the new services of the Hawaii Superferry, inter-island travel will be more affordable than ever before, with discounted rates for children, seniors, as well as retired personnel of the United States Armed Services.

Kaanapali Beach Hotel, named "The Most Hawaiian Hotel in the State of Hawaii" by the Waiaha Foundation, is anticipating an increase in hotel guests visiting Maui from the neighboring Hawaiian Islands as a result of the new ferry service. "We are thrilled with the launch of the Hawaii Superferry," says Luana Paahana, Director of Sales and Marketing at Kaanapali Beach Hotel. "We anticipate that the affordable ferry service will encourage local resident inter-island travel to Maui and believe this will enhance our guests' uniquely Hawaiian experience."

Kaanapali Beach Hotel has been leading the travel industry in preserving Hawaiian culture and focusing on creating a Hawaiian atmosphere for more than 20 years with their extensive cultural arts program, singing staff, and a signature Farewell Lei Ceremony. The oceanfront property has spacious guestrooms, plenty of on-property activities including a nightly hula show and live music, award winning cuisine, a beach activities center equipped with snorkel gear, boogie boards and a beach catamaran.

About Hawaii Superferry
Hawaii Superferry will connect Hawaii's islands, communities and people by providing an affordable and convenient interisland travel and transportation alternative. The first ferry is scheduled to begin service in July 2007 between Honolulu and Maui and Honolulu and Kauai. A second vessel will begin service between Honolulu and Hawaii's Big Island in early 2009. Hawaii Superferry's environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, specially designed catamarans meet or exceed government standards for protecting Hawaii's islands and the ocean. Seagoing ferries are used all over the world, and soon this Hawaii-based company will provide this benefit to Hawaii's residents, businesses and visitors.
