Olympia Fields, IL (PRWEB) July 5, 2007 -- Paul Erickson has published a first edition of his photography in the form of a 2007-2008 calendar in conjunction with Lulu (www.lulu.com), the world's fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand products.

Sunrises, Sunsets, and the Word is a 15-month calendar featuring spectacular views of sunrises and sunsets. Each photo is accompanied by an inspirational message, which captures the essence of the scene.

Paul comments on "Sunrises, Sunsets, and the Word for 2007-2008": "This calendar features photographs of sunrises and sunsets that I have taken around the country, and one from Mexico. I have noted where the photo was taken, and in some cases the month of the year it was taken if known. An appropriate Bible Verse accompanies each photo. I hope to inspire others with an appreciation of God's creation through this work."

Paul has never published before, and came to Lulu because he wanted to be in control of the publishing process. He found Lulu's print-on-demand tools to be fast, easy and, most importantly, free. Paul's first piece of work, Sunrises, Sunsets, and the Word, a 15-month calendar covering 2007 and 2008, is available for purchase at www.lulu.com.

About the Photographer:
Paul Erickson has worked for 30 years in the Human Resources field, and now does independent consulting when not shooting sunrises, sunsets, and other natural wonders. He has taught Sunday School to 7th and 8th grade students at his church in Homewood, IL for 20 years. The Bible verses accompanying "Sunrises, Sunsets, and the Word" are a reflection of what he sees spiritually in the photographs displayed on the calendar.

Paul grew up in the Midwest, hailing from Des Moines, Iowa, and has both a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Iowa State University in Ames. Paul is a widower who currently lives in Olympia Fields, Illinois with his dog Tanner. "Sunrises, Sunsets, and the Word," is the first display of his photography.

March Sunset from Puerto Vallarta Bay, Mexico
In contrast to the clouds in the Outer Banks sunrise, this photo - taken from a sailboat - captures how stunning clouds can appear at sunset.

Sunrise from the Outer Banks of North Carolina
I took this photo in November of 2004. I would describe it as the "fingers of God" poking though the darkness.
