Director of National Center for Girls and Women with ADHD Releases Critical Analysis of Legacy Parenting's 'Total Transformation Program' for Child Behavior Management

Noted ADHD specialist, Dr. Patricia O. Quinn, MD, provides favorable analysis of The Total Transformation Program, a child behavior program developed by James Lehman and distributed by the Legacy Parenting Company.

Westbrook, ME (PRWEB) July 13, 2007 -- Dr. Patricia O. Quinn, MD, Director of the National Center for Girls and Women with ADHD has issued a Critical Analysis of Legacy Parenting's "Total Transformation Program." Developed by behavioral therapist James Lehman, The Total Transformation is a step-by-step system for parents and caregivers to assist them in changing defiant or out-of-control behavior in children who may have ADHD and are "acting out."

According to Dr. Quinn, ADHD remains the behavioral problem most often diagnosed by pediatricians. "Considering the negative prognosis, early identification and treatment of behavior and conduct problems in children and teens with ADHD cannot be overemphasized," said Dr. Quinn.

We're very excited about Dr. Quinn's favorable analysis because it presents more evidence that The Total Transformation is an effective way for parents to manage and change behavior problems with their children right in the home.
Skills Training for Parents of Children with ADHD and ODD

During the course of her research on the Total Transformation Program, Dr. Quinn observed, "While most pediatricians can say that they understand the need for multimodal therapy, that is, a cognitive therapy based program that may include medication for the treatment of children with ADHD and coexisting conditions, they are at a loss of how to assist parents in acquiring the skills necessary to carry out such a program. Most parents must 'go it alone' or seek out expensive mental health support within the community, knowing the majority of these services are not covered by health insurance."

Dr. Quinn concluded, "Given the limited time available to clinicians to interact with patients and their parents, how can professionals teach parents to more effectively deal with their children with ADHD and ODD/CD and provide these services in a way that is both cost and time effective? An 'at home' training program like The Total Transformation Program seems ideal. Through a series of compact disks, DVDs and an interactive parent workbook, The Total Transformation can be used by parents and professionals to decode a child's behavior and understand why a child or teen is acting in a dysfunctional way. The main focus of this non-judgmental structured program is on teaching parents exactly how to react to and better understand their children or teens with behavior disorders such as ODD/CD and then effectively empower them to change."

In response to this latest professional review of his child behavior program, James Lehman said, "We're very excited about Dr. Quinn's favorable analysis because it presents more evidence that The Total Transformation is an effective way for parents to manage and change behavior problems with their children right in the home."

The Total Transformation Program is available through Legacy Parenting Company, at www.TheTotalTransformation.com. Over 85,000 units of The Total Transformation Program have been sold to date with about 1,000 currently being sold per week. Total Transformation Course Review from Someone Else's Kids on Jul 30, 2007   Preview Open
I learned that there have been some very high level awards and endorsements of the program from prominent groups, not to mention the fact that the company has sold 85,000 copies of the program (as of mid July 2007).
