Matti Herrera Bower Echoes Concerns Raised During YouTube Debate Regarding Education
Miami Beach Mayor candidate keeps education a top priority.
Miami Beach, Fla. (PRWEB) July 26, 2007 -- As Miami Beach Mayoral candidate Matti Herrera Bower continues to walk from neighborhood to neighborhood, from house to house, a common message she has for families: "Miami Beach schools need to improve. We need better education for our children".
This was a key topic raised during Monday night's CNN/YouTube debate and it is an issue that sits close to Matti's heart.
The mother of four daughters and six grandchildren has worked diligently towards the goal of improving our children's education as long-time Commissioner of Miami Beach, but acknowledges there is a long way to go.
"Class size reduction will go a long way in improving education of our children."
So how does Matti Herrera Bower intend to accomplish her goals should she become Mayor of Miami Beach?
"I was the funding president of the PTA for Feinberg and PTA President for Nautilus Middle School and Miami Beach High School. For a period of 10 years, I was a member of the Attendance Boundary Committee which I also chaired. There is so much more I can do as Mayor by continuing to be the ears of our PTAs," says Bower. "We need to maintain an improve upon the quality of our schools."
