Lile Entertainment Group Acquires Movie Rights to Ames Holbrook's 'The Deporter'

Lile Entertainment Group has acquired the comprehensive life and movie rights to Ames Holbrook's, The Deporter by Penguin, which is set to hit bookstores on October 4.
Holbrook is a supremely talented writer & ICE expert, who shares his real life saga, in what could be best described as an entertaining cry for help. Within one week of finalizing our rights acquisition, I got a handful of studio offers for this story. We definitely have something special here, and hope to make an announcement soon regarding a motion picture deal with a major studio.

Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) August 29, 2007 -- Lile Entertainment Group has acquired the comprehensive life and movie rights to Ames Holbrook's, The Deporter by Penguin, which is set to hit bookstores on October 4.

The Deporter is the real life, "Catch Me If You Can" story of Ames Holbrook, a veteran of Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, otherwise known as ICE. Says, Ensequence Co-Founder and PBS Producer Stephen Lile, "Holbrook is a supremely talented writer & ICE expert, who shares his real life saga, in what could be best described as an entertaining cry for help. Within one week of finalizing our rights acquisition, I got a handful of studio offers for this story. We definitely have something special here, and hope to make an announcement soon regarding a motion picture deal with a major studio."

An ICE office is a highly specialized unit of Deportation Officers (D.O.) whose mission is to detain and remove dangerous criminal aliens…thugs who have already committed a crime and are already on Orders of Deportation. Say's Stephen Lile, "We're not dealing with typical bad guys: Human Smuggling-OUT (sex slaves), Human Smuggling-In (slave labor), Muslim terrorists, individual and organized pedophile rings, Nigerian scammers...just to name a few. We also have a fair representation of the more traditional losers…drug and gun-runners, murderers, rapists, bank & wire frauds…etc. The Deporter tells the truth that our immigration crisis isn't as simple as a few million Mexicans crossing the border, but in fact, a full blown national security crisis running below the waterline. Holbrook's story chronicles a broken down system and one mans harrowing saga that pits morality against the law, and delivers "edge of your seat" thrill. Holbrook's dry wit and comical lens also promises an enjoyable ride, but is also transcendent of political persuasions."
