UDcast and Dimetis Showcase New DVB-H Network Control System at IBC 2007

Sophia-Antipolis, France and Dietzenbach, Germany (PRWEB) September 8, 2007 -- UDcast, a leading provider of solutions enabling full IP over broadcast and satellite media, and Dimetis GmbH, a German-based OSS supplier to world-class, large-scale telecommunication, media and broadcast carriers, announced today the integration of UDcast's DVB-H and DVB-T network monitoring solutions with the Dimetis BOSS© (Broadcast Operations Support System) BROADCAST NetView network management platform. The combined technology solution will provide for efficient remote site management and improved quality of service across Mobile TV networks.

As part of the companies' agreement, Dimetis will also serve as a reseller of UDcast's DVB-H solutions to broadcasters, mobile operators and network integrators throughout Europe, eventually expanding across the globe.

The two companies will demonstrate their unique solution at IBC 2007, taking place September 7-11 at the RAI Amsterdam. Visitors to the Dimetis booth at IBC (Hall 3, Booth 3.144) will see the UDcast GOLDENEAGLE®, a sophisticated network monitoring device, monitoring, analyzing and validating compliance to the DVB-H standard.

The Austrian state broadcaster ORS has utilized the Dimetis BOSS platform over the last three years for DVB-T and DVB-S operations. Recently, ORS has also successfully tested the UDcast DVB-H platform. "The integration of UDcast solutions into the Dimetis BOSS platform is very valuable and exciting for us.
