Viking's Pizza School Reveals Recipe for How to Make Pizza Like the Pros

Viking's Pizza School has recently launched a new instructional program that educates future and existing restaurant owners on the art of pizza making. The instructional program teaches an age-old recipe for how to make pizza dough in addition to restaurant service, marketing and management principles.

(PRWEB) January 9, 2008 -- For those in pursuit of becoming a pizza chef, the opportunity is ready for the taking at Viking's Pizza School. Swedish Chef and Restaurateur Bjorn Sjogren has mastered the art of pizza making and now unveils the secret to great-tasting pizza in Viking's Pizza School's three-day instructional program, available to anyone from start-up restaurant owners to existing proprietors.

"Instead of making it big by pursuing a franchise opportunity, why not make it even bigger by starting up a restaurant yourself? Viking's Pizza School can give you the tools you need to open a pizza restaurant that serves nothing short of superior authentic pizza," says Sjogren.

The key ingredient in Sjogren's pizza recipes is the crust. Developed by Signor Rafael of Naples, Italy and perfected in recent years by Sjogren himself, only a handful of chefs know how to make pizza using this recipe. Now Sjogren is sharing the pizza crust recipe with other pizza chef hopefuls in an effort to bring the quality of Signor Rafael's recipe to the masses.

"Signor Rafael shared the recipe with me in 1977 as a token of appreciation for helping him find a location for his first pizza eatery in Sweden," explains Sjogren. "Even after 32 years, his restaurant still exists, and the legacy of his pizza recipes lives on with other European chefs. It is my intention to share that legacy with those who value quality over quantity and the joy of satisfying patrons with pizza dough that's deliciously distinct."

In addition to teaching how to make pizza, the Viking's Pizza School curriculum also includes a wide range of subjects such as developing a worthwhile menu, implementing effective restaurant marketing strategies and perfecting basic service techniques.

Classes are intended for those with serious intentions of pursuing a job in the restaurant business and for those that want to remain on the cutting edge of distinctive pizza recipes, culinary artistry and excellent restaurant service. Students will receive close, personalized attention as classes hold a maximum of four students. Classes are being offered in four sessions in February, March, October and November 2008.
