Having worked with the medium of glass for over 60 years in the Murano region, the unique lighting fixtures of Studio Italia Design are still designed, produced, assembled and sent from the company's base. The glass that each piece is crafted from is extruded, poured, rolled, stamped, blown and spun by Murano artisans.

The Puraluce is crafted from a methracrylate resin and illuminated with a circular T5 lamp; its disc- shaped form is rich with modern flair. The molded plastic Puraluce light can be wall or ceiling mounted, suspended vertically or horizontally and is watertight for outdoor use. It is the vision of Marco Ferreri, an Italian architect and designer who is world renowned for his industrial and graphic installations. The Puraluce is available in one disk or several disk configurations. It was commissioned for the Basilica of San Lorenzo Maggiore, in the chapel of Saint Aquillino in Milan. The Puraluce modern light installation which appears in the chapel is composed of a steel frame and twelve beams from which fine strips of white nylon cascade to feature a total of 576 gleaming bulbs.

The Bellissima is a wall-mount or suspended lighting fixture, which features a polished steel frame and concave diffusers in milk-white hand-blown glass and convex satin glass diffusers in amber and red glass. This modern work of art is completely hand-crafted by Murano artisans.

The Buonanotte lamp, which was designed by Giulio Iacchetti for Studio Italia Design, is simply designed as a book rest and table lamp. Translating to "good night" in English, Buonanotte is ideal for reading before bed. The fixture's metal frame is equipped with a sensor that turns the light on when the book is lifted and turns it off when the book is rested on the frame. A switch is installed below the metal frame and activated through a hole in the frame. The flip of the switch automatically turns the light on and off and is activated by the touch of a finger or book.

The Blow table lamp features a chrome frame and clear crystal globe. The low-voltage lamp is controlled by a matching decorative magnet, which is located on the outside of the clear diffuser.

The wall, ceiling mount or table lamp Kapp fixture, which features a chrome frame and glass diffuser, details the unsurpassable craftsmanship that the company's artisans employ in their glass art. Each arm is constructed of hand-crafted, blown glass and it takes up to two artisans to create each individual piece.

The Nuvola, which was conceptualized by famous Italian designer Denis Santachiara, is a suspended, luminous life-like cloud constructed of soft washable fabric. Illuminated from the inside, the cloud softly undulates and is powered by four mechanical arms and an internal engine. It's most recent installation is in the hotel lobby of Mondrian Scottsdale.
