Premier Assistive Technology, Inc. has established a partnership with LD Resources Foundation, Inc. to begin creating and expanding programs to identify promising, motivated students with academic challenges in order to provide them with assistance, guidance and learning tools to help them succeed in Higher Education

Joliet, Illinois (PRWEB) January 4, 2008 -- Premier Assistive Technology, Inc. proudly announces the establishment of a partnership with LD Resources Foundation, Inc.

Kenneth Grisham, President / CEO of Premier Assistive Technology, Inc. states "Since its inception in 2002, Premier Assistive Technology has been focused on the core philosophy that learning tools should be powerful yet affordable for all students. It is a new paradigm that is becoming more widely employed across academic environments at all levels across North America. Working with Zahavit Paz, Founder of LD Resources Foundation, Inc., we have found yet another true professional whose spirit and vision align with our own. LD Resources Foundation concentrates on identifying promising, motivated students with academic challenges in order to provide them with assistance and guidance to help them succeed in Higher Education. In teaming up with LD Resources Foundation, this new partnership will immediately begin creating and expanding programs that maximize opportunities to provide learning tools to students everywhere."

As their first step in this formal initiative, on January 17, Premier Assistive and LDRFA will be awarding the Premier Key to Access Award to 10 students at both (FIT) Fashion Institute of Technology SUNY, and Hunter College CUNY, both in Manhattan. The Key to Access Award is based upon Premier Assistive's Key to Access portable flash drive / MP3 technology that contains a robust suite of 10 pre-loaded software applications: Universal Reader Plus; E-Text Reader; Premier Predictor Pro; Ultimate Talking Dictionary; Talking Word Processor; PDF Magic; PDF Equalizer ML; Text to Audio; Scan and Read Pro; and Talking Calculator. This portable device is not much larger than a pack of gum and is designed to make any personal computer accessible; software never needs to be installed on the computer and students can take their electronic files with them wherever they go.

Going forward, the award program will be expanded to many other academic institutions in New York and ultimately beyond.
