Real estate professionals all over the country are laughing at a YouTube video.
Boston, MA (PRWEB) January 7, 2008 -- With real estate professionals in many markets having a tough time, agents and brokers all over the country are laughing at the YouTube video made by a Cape Cod broker. Comments from "Cute video!" to "Great video!" to "This is SO right!". It only lasts two and a half minutes but you think about it's message and laugh for hours. "Love the concept and the video!," comments one agent from New Hampshire. Another from Georgia responded, "The video is great! How do we stop the "frenzy"?" Some brokers are embedding the link into their own website for humorous content.
The actors in the video are relatives and friends of Heath Coker, a real estate broker on Cape Cod. "My small real estate company gets emails every day from new sites and old sites wanting to sell me leads," says Coker. "I just put what I experience as a broker in the video." Many real estate sites today are not operated by real estate professionals. Instead by using real estate listings as the honey, they trap consumers' names and phone numbers with logins or forms, and then sell that information to various people willing to buy them.
Consumers also laugh at the two and a half minute movie. Some people who have had their "contact information" sold to many agents, laugh and say, "I have felt just like that!" With videos being passed around by email today, the short flick is turning into a conversation piece. As news about real estate confuses the public and frustrates professionals, this YouTube video is providing a little levity.
"I made the video as a humorous explanation of what I am feeling as a broker," says Coker. Consumers surfing for real estate information agree it is humorous realism. "It makes people laugh because it is true."
