...exuberant, defiant, stand-up-and-shake-your-fist-at-the-devil, rock and roll worship album...MercyMe's best work to date...
Portland, OR (PRWEB) January 5, 2008
In addition to the great music on the latest release from MercyMe, All That is Within Me, fans of the multi-platinum and award-winning Christian Rock band will also find a sweet adoption story from the band's guitarist, Mike Scheuchzer.
In 2006, Mike and his wife Abby were led to Kazakhstan on a mission of international adoption and found their baby daughter, Millie. It took some time for all of the paperwork to be completed, but recently the Scheuchzers brought their little girl home with the help of All God's Children, a Portland, OR based ministry for orphan care and international adoption.
Because of Scheuchzer's deep belief in international adoption, he wanted to tell Millie's story and let others know of the needs for orphan care. So, it seemed appropriate to include information in the release of MercyMe's new CD, All That is Within Me.
The staff at All God's Children worked closely with MercyMe to create an insert for the CD, showing a picture of Mike and Millie. It was Mike's hope that by putting this insert in the CD, MercyMe fans everywhere would have the opportunity to help the world's orphans through orphan home and child sponsorships with All God's Children.
Since their debut in 2001, MercyMe has sold over 5 million units in CD and DVD sales, has gone platinum and triple platinum, received a Grammy nomination and developed a reputation for their riveting music and outstanding performances.
Recent review of the latest CD would indicate that the band has evolved their sound even further and have crafted music that is already connecting with their fans:
