We expect Quick Medical GS to expand even more dramatically in 2008

Medical supply company Quick Medical GS has booked more than $2.5 million in government sales the first three quarters of 2007 and now holds three major federal contracts.

Quick Medical GS is headed by Tom Smith, a service-disabled veteran of the U.S. Army. Smith's status enables Veteran Sales, dba Quick Medical GS, to compete as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concern for General Services Administration (GSA) federal supply contracts. He has shown that a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business can be successful in doing business with the government.

Quick Medical GS is affiliated with the online medical supplies vendor Quick Medical and offers the same extensive inventory of medical equipment and supplies to government purchasers. Smith's extensive experience in government contracting helps Quick Medical GS serve the government sector more effectively.

In February 2007, Quick Medical GS was awarded its first GSA Federal Supply Schedules (FSS) multiple award contract -- essentially a license to sell to the federal government. The company was able to book more than $2.5 million of government sales by the end of the third quarter of calendar year 2007. Quick Medical GS holds a Veterans Administration multiple award contract and has received two additional GSA FSS contracts in recent months.

In August, Quick Medical GS won a contract to sell in vitro diagnostics and testing kits and testing supplies. Quick Medical's offerings in this group include Point-of-Care quick test systems for in vitro diagnostics. These tests can be done in minutes with 99 percent accuracy, allowing quicker treatment and reducing the need for additional clinic visits. Quick Medical GS also offers the CardioCheck system, the Bayer Metrika A1cNow Clia Waived A1c Tester, and the StanBio Laboratories line of products (including the HemoPoint H2 Hemoglobin and Hematocrit Test in One) on this schedule.

"These are products that can save Veterans Administration and Department of Defense clinics substantial time and money," Smith said.

Quick Medical GS holds an additional contract covering x-ray equipment and supplies. The company is offering the entire line of Wolf X-Ray equipment and accessories and will handle all government sales for Wolf under this FSS contract, Smith said.

"We expect Quick Medical GS to expand even more dramatically in 2008," Smith said. "We will have three FSS contracts in place for the entire year, and we will be adding several new manufacturers to our contracts. Quick Medical's understanding of how to market to the Government will continue to allow us to offer government acquisition departments a unique combination of product availability and experience to meet their requirements."
