A networking meeting of Seattle freelance designers was held on January 5, 2008. Things discussed were sharing resources, referrals, problem solving and miscellaneous items that will help us grow our businesses.

Anita Elder, owner of Lolalu Design (, hosted the first networking meeting of freelance graphic designers in the Seattle area on Saturday, January 5, 2008. About a dozen designers attended to discuss ways to grow their business and share resources like printers, copy writers and editors. Tools and tips were also discussed. Each designer gave a mini-commercial about their skills and specialties so other designers could possibly refer work to them if they get a project out of their scope or have too much on their schedule.

A newsletter outlining everything that was discussed was sent to the attendees the following day and a future meeting is to be planned in six months.
