International Networking Week™ Is Quickly Gaining Global Recognition and Support

International Networking Week™, the worldwide celebration of business networking which will occur from February 4th-8th, 2008, has gained support and recognition from representatives of government in the form of several proclamations and resolutions, as well as from the most authoritative reference book on worldwide events.

Upland, CA (PRWEB) January 16, 2008 -- International Networking Week™, an initiative of BNI®, the largest business networking organization in the world, is only in its second year of existence and has already gained the documented support of the California State Legislature; the California State Assembly; the County of Los Angeles; the State of Nevada; the City of Sparks, Nevada; the City of Reno, Nevada; the City of San Antonio, Texas and the City of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. In addition, the Week is now listed in the 2008 edition of Chase's Calendar of Events--the most comprehensive and authoritative reference available on worldwide special events and holidays.

The purpose of International Networking Week™ is to raise the profile of networking in the wider community, recognizing it as an essential tool for success in today's business climate. Many government representatives worldwide have expressed interest in participating in and showing their support for International Networking Week by issuing proclamations and resolutions as they feel it is an important asset in helping to preserve, promote and strengthen the health of the global economy. It is likely that there will soon be International Networking Week™ proclamations from branches of the Canadian Government, some cities in Portugal, and from the Governor of California.

The goal of International Networking Week™ is to recognize and celebrate the key role that networking plays in the development and success of businesses in every part of the world. The designated week will feature a number of networking events across the globe, the focus of which will be to bring together representatives of government, businesses and the community to network with each other, in order to understand the concept of good networking and to listen to talks given by key networking specialists from various parts of the world. These speakers will offer advice and information on how businesses can grow and succeed through good networking practices.
