Wyke Farms, the UK's largest independent cheese producer and milk processor, are sampling a selection of their award winning farmhouse cheddars at this years Fancy Food Fair in San Diego. This is the first time that Wyke Farms have brought their cheese to the US and will be sampling the 'Just Delicious Extra Mature Cheddar' which has been a firm favourite in the UK for over 25 years, continuing to sell faster than any of the other Wyke Farms flavours.
Wyke Farms, famous for their provenance and the quality of their products, have maintained the art of traditional cheese making on their Somerset farm where the Clothier family have been making cheddar to Ivy Clothier's same original secret recipe since 1902. Staying loyal to the families' heritage and approach to farming has given Wyke Farms a unique ability to produce a wide variety of traditional, real farmhouse cheddars. Wyke remains a truly traditional family business. Ivy's grandsons Richard and Tom now run the cheese making operations with their father John, whilst her other two Grandsons David and Roger run the family dairy farming operations. The four grandchildren share Ivy's passion for cheese making and for them flavour, texture and taste are paramount. They believe that this attention to detail is the reason that their cheese has won more awards at national cheese shows than any other.
