Live satellites and final three grand final qualifiers for Green Joker Poker European Deep Stack Poker Championship announced.
(PRWEB) January 13, 2008 -- The European Deep Stack Poker Championship takes place in the Drogheda Poker Club, Drogheda, Ireland from Feb. 2-10, 2008.
The €1,500 main event, which starts on Feb. 6, sees players begin with €50,000 in chips and a one hour clock. A number of high-profile players have signed up for the event already including Poker Million champion Joe Beevers and fellow Hendon Mobster Barny Boatman as well as five members of The Hitsquad (http://pokerhitsquad.blogspot.com/).
Also confirmed are WSOP bracelet winner Praz Bansi, fellow Bluesquare sponsored Karl Mahrenholz, Sunny Chatta, Tony Phillips and Priyan De Mel, EPT Baden and GUKPT Plymouth Champion Julian Thew, well known UK players Ian Woodley, David Lloyd and Jim Reid and last year's champion Jen Mason.

The two-day short-handed hold'em event kicks the festival off on Feb.2 with a one-hour clock and €20,000 starting chips, while the Omaha event on Feb.4 also has a one-hour clock and €20,000 starting chips.
A new schedule of online qualifying has been ! launched with three more Grand Finals for tickets to the main event. These satellites are for the price of the entry fee only and are at 9.30 p.m. on Jan. 13, 20 and 27. They are $100+$9 rebuys. These are fed by $10 rebuys at 3.30 p.m., 7.50 p.m. and 00.50 a.m. which are in turn fed by freerolls that run at 10.30 a.m., 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. every day.
The online satellites can be played on Green Joker Poker, Bluesquare, Paddy Power, Blonde Poker and Uncoverpoker.
Players wishing to choose their starting day for the main €1500 event will need to book soon. Also the €500+€50 Short Handed No Limit Hold'em event is filling very fast. This unique six player multi-table format is proving popular and players wishing to take part should reserve their place now.
