In response to the more than 2,200 missing children reported in the United States each day, DIGIKIDS® offers a Child Safety Identification CD that allows parents to quickly provide law enforcement officials, the media, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other agencies with two high-resolution digital photos along with medical and identifying information to aid in recovery efforts.

Steve Garrison and Kim Jensen have been chosen to launch the exclusive DIGIKIDS® child ID franchise for Jefferson County, including the communities of Arvada, Lakewood and Wheat Ridge, announced Michael J. Childs, DIGIKIDS® president.

"For some time, we've searched for a business opportunity we can manage from home, one that provides a genuine service to the community," Garrison and Jensen explained. "When we learned about DIGIKIDS®, we not only fell in love with the concept, we also found a group of like-minded business owners who share our core values and beliefs."

At 17, following high school graduation, Steve Garrison obtained his real estate license and began selling new homes. He has worked as a realtor for 31 years. Kim Jensen has also worked in the real estate and construction industries for 23 years. The couple teamed up to sell custom homes for 23 builders at the Lowry Air Force Base redevelopment in Denver, selling in two and a half years housing stock totaling $72 million. The following year, they racked up $36 million in sales of new homes near the Stapleton Airport redevelopment area, garnering the "Sales Team of the Year" award from the Homebuilders Association of Metro Denver.

"Working from our home office and caring for two children, two dogs, a horse and a rabbit, we can more easily balance our lives and schedules, while we do what's really important: Helping parents protect their children," the couple added.

Offered through schools, preschools, churches, summer camps and other public events, DIGIKIDS® delivers its secure child ID kits on site in two minutes or less. With its patent-pending technology to create each Child Safety CD, DIGIKIDS® offers parents anywhere a secure and efficient tool that can help speed the return of lost or missing children.

"As parents and successful teammates, Steve and Kim are superb representatives to endorse and support DIGIKIDS® services," said Michael Childs. "We are proud to welcome them to the growing family of DIGIKIDS® franchisees."
